November 23rd, 2009 09:00 AM #4792Yup! I hear my dmax whistling lalo na pag nasa expressway. Parang it helps the engine everytime it does that. By the way, I'm driving an old look 2007 Dmax M/T (hindi pa iTeq). I'm very happy with it. Fc is 14-16km/l. Minsan 17km/l. 65%city35%Hiway. The next time I'm getting a vehicle, Isuzu ulet.
May isang problem lang ako. Clutch release bearing I think. I hear a rattling sound pag idle. Then pag tinapakan mo ang clutch, mawawala. Anyway, it doesn't affect performance. But medyo tumitigas na ang clutch napapansin ko. Any opinion guys kung ano talaga problema nya? I'm having it checked sa casa next week.

Yes Van, normal po yan since ang fuel gauge natin is triggered to switch-on when the key is at the Acc or Accessories position ng ignition.
caloy141 - no sir, that is not normal. Have it checked asap kasi baka may crack sa gasket or seals nito. Kahit anong leak na makikita mo have it traced agad to prevent potential, crippling damage.

Sir we have the same dilema. Here's the post I made last January of this year when I went to have mine warrantied.
Ok guys I just had my clutch replaced under warranty from Isuzu Ayala Cebu.
So for those of you who have been experiencing that horrific sounding clatter sound when you depress the clutch when idling/parked here is what we found during the service - defective clutch spring.
It wasn't the release bearing as we earlier suspected - that bearing was perfectly intact. They simply replaced the clutch disc with an OEM type. Wish I could provide pictures but I didn't bring my cam at the time of service which was done in less than two hours. As it turned out, in 2008, they have replaced defective clutch springs in about 5 D-max units.
Kudos to Nolan and his super efficient 'Pit Crew' who made the replacement look like child-play. They even checked my suspension, some electricals, fluids, etc.
Mystery solved
