April 18th, 2009 06:57 PM #4531*agent_ysann: I haven't logged in tsikot for quite sometime and this post is kinda outdated already. I thought you went with Hilux since I saw your post in their forum before.hehe For your query, mine only had 2 keys (1 has remote and the other one is the spare key.) Sorry I couldn't answer about the bedliner.

Side board = side stepboard?
There are so many brands of stepboards. Just go to Banawe and there are shops there that offer pickup accessories. Go to Carryboy, Ride Inc and Goldrich to name a few. They are all in Banawe. What I have with mine is Carryboy. When I was inquiring with regards to their stepboards, they said they all have 2 available for Dmax. I opted to go with the more expensive one.

April 18th, 2009 07:07 PM #4534It's hard to determine basing from the picture if the color is customized or not but if not tornade red, it's really close to that color. Since the only red that came out with this version of Dmax is the tornade red. It's just now that they released the magma red which is more orange-ish.

hmmm.. i've seen several previous generation dmax (the first one, minus face lift before the global dmax) with that color. oh is that magma red? the "orangy" red? i'v visited isuzu website and the tornade red appears to be orangy red. now i'v googled tornade red and it is the same as i posted

April 19th, 2009 02:21 AM #4536Yup, the dmax prior to the global dmax, they have that maroon like color, I am not really sure what is the name of that. When they released the global dmax, it came with the tornade red and that is the only red color available for that model. Now, I think they already replaced, I am not really sure on this, the tornade red with the magma red which is more orangy as compare to the tornade red which really looks red. The photo below is the picture of my truck which is tornade red and if you'll look at it, it looks like the color of the dmax in your picture.

Full Story:
We were opting for the Hilux before. Kaya lang after seeing the interior of the new Hilux, kamukhang kamukha nya yung interior ng 2006 Fortuner (which i have one). boring naman kung same interior ang mga sasakyan sa bahay, walang excitement pag gusto mo magpalit. Hahaha. Also, wala nang 4x2 AT variant. The 4x4 AT costs a lot. We need AT for business purpose.
So we were down to Strada GLS Sport AT and Dmax 4x2 LS AT. nagkaroon ng promo ang BPI last march. 1.3M Strada vs 1.085M Dmax. mas maliit ang downpayment ng Dmax so yun na lang ang kinuha ni mama. Besides, my dad is an Isuzu fan, birthday gift nya from mom.

May 5th, 2009 08:26 PM #4540I just got back from our province last weekend and it was one of a hell "vacation."hehe
Why? While we were on our way there, I couldn't pin point exactly the location but it was between Bauang and San Fernando, La Union, the road was clear and there were only me and the oncoming fuego which was about 180 meters away. My speed was around 110 kph then roughly less than 110 meters away, this fuego was literally driving on the middle of the road. At my speed and his speed, that distance is just short for us to hit each other so I just gave him two short beeps. I don't really like honking nor flashing those lights a lot unless I feel that the danger is imminent. After my two short beeps, he didn't go back to his lane and f*ck the duck, about 5 cars away, he went to my lane and f*cking stayed there until he passed me. I was forced to swerve to the shoulder, good thing he didn't go there too, leaving a dust of clouds. If I could remember it clearly, my speed was around 80 kph at that time since my intial reaction was to step on the brake. Imagine driving 80 kph on the shoulder with rocks and dust. All of my passengers were in shocked since when I veered to the left to go back to the road, the car "semi" fish tailed. Good thing I managed to control it but all of us were in stunned. We were just thankful that at that time, the road was free and there were no cars or people on the shoulder and on the road. I have gone and have driven to our province many times before and never I experienced that. I don't know what that guy was thinking or maybe he fell asleep. No one knows why. If it not for my passengers, I would have turned around and beat that guy up. F*cking driver playing chicken on a national hiway. Good thing I was driving a Dmax.hehe
For the next incident, the children in my province put putty on the front bumper of my truck. My goodness! Both sides near the lights making it look like it has an eye brows.hehe I managed to remove it but it already left scratches and a small paint got chipped off and it also has very light white stains.
Oh boy, that weekend was just one of those days.
