if i may add, kung naka bridgestones pa ang dmax mo... chances are it would reach 100,000kms before you replace it.

bridgestones made in thailand yung nakakabit sa akin na stock, while following the recommeded pressure settings at most times, it took me 4 years bago ko mapalitan ang gulong.

8800621: lupet ng bov ah. question lang, pag during running driving (i mean not like idle revving lang) nag oopen din ba yung secondary valve ng SSQV mo? kasi diba with the ssqv, low revs give you the softer shhh sound whereas when you hit hihgher psi nagiging PSHH. I'm thinking of getting a bov also kasi. I'm not sure kasi if I can have a badass dose pipe on my dmax hehehe. although yung dose pipe mostly for porma lang talga. but heres a vid of a dose pipe on a petrol engine

its different from compressor surge so it wont destroy the turbine

also, ano magandang brake pads? I need a new set.y ung last na nilagay ng dad ko ambilis maubos eh. di kaya yung hataw hataw

Sir Widlthing, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge sa Dmax. Gagayahin ko rin yung tire pressure settings mo para maka abot din ng 100,000 kms yung tire ko. Bridgestone din yung nakakabit sa uni ko. So i suppose galing din ng thailand to.
    Salamat po talaga...

*romel.krypton: For the tire pressure, I haven't checked mine the moment I got it from my dealer though I read those tire pressure on the door, I just don't find the time to check it. Mine has Bridgestone tires too. Why is it that I saw a brand new Dmax when I was in Carryboy Banawe, but the owner got it from Pasig, his tires were I think Good Year? Isn't it the same for all Dmax? Anyways, my other truck has Bridgestone Long Run tires and I tell, it takes so long to wear out. I think it has been there for like 4 years already and I could still see that it could take another 2 years before it totally wears out and to think I just put 35psi in it.

*Wh1stl3r: As much as I wanted to post the sound here, I can't mainly because as I have told before, I don't know when it will sound. Like when I traveled more than 900 kms but it didn't sound not at least once, I used it the whole day but it didn't sound and as I was parking it in our garage, it sounded and the last time I heard it was yesterday (2x) and I thought that it was gone since I haven't heard it for more than a week. I always hear that sound sounds at low speeds and not while idling.

For my other vehicles, I use either the Shell Helix or Castrol both semi synthetic, since I do oil change every 5k kms. So far they work perfectly for my cars. Before I use Mobile 1, but it's more expensive and I believe an oil is an oil and in my opinion, they are all at par with each other. Oil Grade, I am not sure with the Dmax but I use the 15w, something like that for my other truck. For my Dmax, when I had my 1st PMS, it says in my receipt IGMO (Isuzu Genuine Motor Oil?????) Just a wild guess. It's still new so it's up to them what they put. They didn't even ask me if I want synthetic or semi synthetic.

I use Bendix in my other vehicles, I am not sure with Dmax though. So far so good, and they're not that expensive too. Unless of course you always step on the brake or you always do hard braking, for sure, it will wear out fast.

as is na po kuya the bov... no mods with it na parang may flutter... not unless you open it up, change the spring to a softer one and get the tututututututu sound with the bov... may drawback pala kuya the dose pipe, the turbo exposed and all without any protection whatsoever, maybe tiny rocks or whatever may enter the turbo severing the blades... disaster ang turbo...

my two centavos lang po... ^_^ peace...

Sir/s, I forgot the page, but I read in the manual about starting the vehicle wherein it says that we've to press the clutch while starting the vehicle. I read a post here about that but if I am not mistaken, it was about Vios. Do you follow or do that? Me, I follow it. I don't really know the exact explanation why but I do it now and in all my vehicles too. At first I tend to forget but now it's automatic.

SIr rna800, I think ganyan din ato lahat ng Hyundai units. You need to press the clutch to start. Yung starex ko kasi ganyan din. Ano kaya benefits of pressing the clutch when starting....
