    rsnald,

brake -- kakaroon ng leak. The conversation of the mechanic and partsman went like this:

mechanic: parts para sa rear brake ng hilander.

    partsman: kaliwa o kanan.

mechanic: yong parating nasisira. Noong isang linggo, sampu pinalitan natin nito. Dapat alam mo na.

tanke: doon sa modified hilander of Jun Magno, the fuel tank was relocated, sa likod yata ng 2nd row seat. Well then, that mods was meant for racing. Dictates of the economy is so high, kaya sa dati pa rin. :D

by the way, after warranty, benta mo na ba unit mo?

    for 20vanda01:
radiator leak : about 10,000 km. dec last year changed radiator, tapos nag recur, around 25 th km.

clutch kit replaced: 30 th km.

exhaust pipe crack: 35 th km but this could have happened gradually. makapal yung pipe galing from the engine block. once you hear something like two metal surfaces rubbing each other or a "tak tak tak tak" noise - like a loose metal plate clanging against another metal part -- while idling--- , inspect nyo agad yung exhaust pipes nyo. in fact, might be a good idea to inspect as early as possible and find if there are cracks that are starting to develop.

    after warranty?
-nope, will not sell it. personal choice ko to sa for my car plan e despite all the defects, bilib pa rin ako sa isuzu engine. at least di yung engine ang may problema. naiakyat ko na to ng baguio, driven through stormy weather, waded through flooded streets, never failed me naman. and judging from the testimonies of those who previously owned hilanders, mukhang highly reliable naman ang 4JA1. engine ang hinabol ko dito, hindi yung amenities.

    additional note:
yung fan belts pala tends to make noise at 35 th km-- natakot ako kala ko bearing sa alternator or compressor. siguro, indication na tumitigas na yung rubber. simple lang ang solusyon, pahiran nyo ng engine oil yung belt. makes sense coz this will tend to soften the belt a bit without really destroying it. belt conditioning lang.

    - power windows: make it a point to exercise your power windows lalo na yung sa likod. para daw di ma-stuck up yung mga motors at laging maging madulas yung rubber gaskets ng window. minsan you may have to lubricate the rubber gaskets with mild oil para dumulas. ako tubig lag oks na yon.

window washer : nagbabara yung nozzles sa katagalan. siguro dahil sa deepwell ang tubig sa antipolo. what i did was replace the nozzles with the wide-spray nozzles -- classified na ba yon as mods?

i think it would also be a good idea to drain the radiator every six months or at least once a year. kahit anong alaga mo sa cooling water, dudumi at dudumi pa rin yun. ambantot pa nung tubig na lalabas don.

    to sir redhorse:

i heard another story yesterday at ford pampanga.
may 3-day old daw na crosswind from isuzu pampanga, binangga sa side tapos nag-turn turtle. medyo mataas daw kasi ang crosswind tapos payat.
apparently the all new expedition is beside us.

    Welcome!

I have an XUVi myself since 2003. Of course, the SPORTIVO is better since it goes with bucket seats already, AV jack with inverter, front facing 3rd row seat to name a few.

Moreover, the ENGINE! I got mine mainly for that reason.... the ENGINE.

You can't go wrong with it.... GO FOR IT!

sana maglabas ang isuzu ng SPORTIVO with the new i-TEQ engine (kahit 2.5L or 3.0L displacement) para maging Euro-3 compliant na!
