January 27th, 2011 11:33 AM #11yung first question lang masagot ko kasi yung second hindi ko nakita sa owners manual...
first thing you need to do is lift mo both front wheels, then tanggalin mo muna yung fluid sa baso by using a syringe para hindi messy.
second remove mo yung upper hose (return) yung mas payat yun na hose bunutin mo yun. maglagay ka ng plastic bottle (500ml) dun sa hose na inalis mo para macollect mo dun yung old fluid.
third steer mo yung steering wheel todo left and todo right for several times...lalabas na ang old fluid mo..take note engine off ito during this procedure....
a flush of new fluid will do bago ka maglagay ng new fluid just follow the step above....hope this helps...base ito sa owners manual...
dun sa second question kaya nasiraan din ako ng power steering pump kasi hindi ko din alam kung kelan need magpalit ng fluid (dexron IIe) sa ride ko...kailan nga ba?mas matagal ba magpalit kung synthetic compare sa mineral? and ano ang signs na dapat ng palitan or routine inspection needed?....by the way mahirapan ka na din makakita ng dexron II nasa suking auto supply ngayon is dexron III backward compatible naman ito....

Nasira kasi ang power steering gearbox ng xwind ni biyenan at yung non- replacement ng fluid ang suspect ng casa, kaya naging aware ako tuloy, hehe

Actually, kay biyenan ko yung crosswind (xuv), yung sa akin swerte at kahit mas lumang model (xto) di pa naman nagluko gearbox.
Pero ayon sa manugang na driver ni biyenan ko, bigla na lang daw niya naramdaman na bumibigat yung manibela, and before pa mapa-check-up, ayun, tumagas na lahat ng fluid ng power steering. Nag-try yung mechanic na palitan ng repair kit, pero leak pa din, kaya napa-bili tuloy ng gearbox.

sir fabilioh.. ganyan din yung sakin.. tumitigas yung steering.. check out for the belts.. specially yung sa condenser.. yun kasi naging problem nung sakin.. tignan mo kung loose na yung mga pinagkakapitan ng belt.. and always check for the belt kung maluwag ba.. any WEIRD color under the hood? yung sakin kasi.. my parang red sa ilalim ng hood (sign).. hindi ko pinansin ayun my problema na pala..

hindi naman maluwag belts sir eh..pero baka yung kinakabitan, kasi minsan may squeaking sound pag mababa idling tapos pag patay ng makina. ano ba yung belt sa condenser, yan ba yung sa aircon/alternator? wala naman weird color under the hood. anong ginawa mo sir palit belt lang?

actually.. kakapalit ko lang ng belt nun before naging ganun yung steering ko.. pero watch out for that squeaking sounds.. ganyan na ganyan yung sakin.. oo yun ung sa aircon.. sa condenser yung nadale sakin.. yung weird color na sinabi ko is color red.. yung mga loob ng condenser ko sira na pala kaya ganun bakal sa bakal na yung kiskisan.. kaya napudpud sya.. unang sabi sakin is palitan ko na daw buong condenser which is talagang mejo mahal cost around 12k yata.. kaya nag pa second opinion ako sa iba.. good thing sa second pinalitan lang nila yung pulley ng condenser kasi yun ung napudpud then its all good na ulet.. walang na yung squeaky sounds and ok na ulet yung steering ko.. yan yung naging problem nung sakin..
-advice ko nalang check mo lahat ng kinakabitan ng belt habang umaandar yung makina para makita mo kung meron bang wiggling sa mga yun.. kasi kung meron nag wiggling dun thats the problem..
