    Thanks sa offer sa wheels. Kaya type ko din i-trade yung oem ko sa chrome-finished na mags. Ano yang "scotch tape" technique na yan? Bago yan ah.

    sir Frank Drebin: nabasa ko lang na scotch tape yung remedyo dun sa post ni sir boknoy sa isang thread. ewan. baka namali lang ng basa.

    anyway, so far na-test ko na yung XTRM in and around metro manila from fairview, pasig, roxas until paranaque and back. ok naman. medyo matagtag pero tolerable. binenta ko na nga PDA ko para makabili ng accessories. in the process of getting a cd-shuttle na 2nd hand kaso walang power cable. san ba nakakabili nito mga sir? pioneer 12-disc changer. baka meron kayong alam na mga shops na mas mura.

    tapos yung roof rack, saan maganda bumuli? how much. sensya na sa dami ng tanong, medyo excited pa ko dun sa sasakayan.

    Napansin ko lang po na medyo mausok yung XTRM (well, lahat naman ng diesel). pero nde naman maitim yung usok, medyo maputi pa nga (parang sa kotse) pero sobrang mausok eh. may mausok pa dun sa L200 ko dati. may way ba para medyo mabawasan to? nakakahilo kasi yung amoy nung usok. nakaka-awa yung mga bata sa amin pag nag-papainit ako ng makina sa umaga.

    ok naman. highly recommended. Yung 200 pesos na gas ko before from Marikina to Makati and back (~48 kms) medyo cut down to 100-120 pesos. (btw, I was using a 96 lancer glxi matic before).

    medyo erratic nga lang yung fuel consumption. minsan 100 lang, may times naman umaabot ng 130. Considering na halos parehas lang yung terrain, traffic and time for home to office and back.

    I use shell diesel pala. My friend told me na ok yung "pure" diesel ng mga small players like CityOil, UniOil, etc. Nasubukan nyo na ba to?

    Ride-wise, medyo matgtag. i guess i owe it to the tires kc nde nman standard specs yung tires ko. it's a bit bigger than the normal ones kaya medyo malaki yung turning radius ko. I'll post the specs tomorrow.

    Btw, normal lang ba na ang bilis humingi ng gear change nung XTRM? 1st gear ako to 20 kmh, then 2nd gear to 30/35 kmh, tapos 4th na kaagad pag dating ng 45-60 kmh.

    Isa pa pala na napansin ko, ang taas ng clutch! pero u need to press it down to the metal just to change gears. I don't know kung talagang ganun or dapat ko na pa-adjust.

    All-in-all, its one helluva vehicle. Tough, thrifty and impressive. I'm getting a CD changer installed this saturday and baka magsabay na ko ng car alarm/keyless entry.

    Ang tipid ng XTRM noh. Average ko per day 60kms. Yung 4 days na gamit ko (pesteng coding) almost Php400 of diesel lang ang nagagamit ko. Mas matipid siya kapag naka-off ang rear aircon.

    Pinalitan mo ba yung tires mo?

    kung puti yung usok, starved ng fuel... try mo palitan fuel filter mo and check if meron improvement. happened to me before nung medyo barado na yung fuel filter ko. try mo rin i-drain yung water separator mo. baka moisture lang yun galing sa fuel. kung itim naman usok, unburned fuel... tips ko lang dun. use biodiesel.. or have your tambutso flushed with water. ako, once a month pinupuno ko ng tubig yung muffer using a garden hose - ipapasok ko yung hose sa loob, then buhay ng tubig hanggang sa mag-spill out na yung tubig. tapos sabay andar ng makira at sipa sa accelerator... vroomm!! tanggal lahat ng soot sa tambutso. you need an open space na pwede mo dumihan to do this. or ipagawa mo sa gas station car wash. alam nila yun.

    GANUN DIN SA CROSSWIND... 1ST GEAR 20kph LANG changer gear ka na, MAX OUT NYA mga 50 KPH (* 4000RPM NA YUN :whoa 2ND GEAR MGA 40 KPH ;MAX IS ABOUT 60-65 KPH SIGURO, 3RD GEAR 50 KPH, MAX OUT 80 KPH, 4TH GEAR 80 KPH MAX OUT 110 KPH. 5TH GEAR BEST AT 90-100 KPH, MAX OUT 140 KPH (* 3900 rpm, hirap na itaas to redline).

    Meron ina-adjust dun sa clutch pedal, yung plunger ba tawag dun? silipin mo minsan. luwagan mo lang yung lock nut, tapos ikutin yung pusher/plunger.

    ok. thanks sa advice. baka nga magpa change oil na ko next month. nde ko kasi alam yung last change oil nito nung na-acquire ko. palit na din siguro ng air filter.

    yung L200 ko dati ganun din yung ginagawa ko, pinapa-flush ko ng tubig. Meron sa amin na shop na nag-f-flush ng muffler para clean ulit. CPM Muffler house yung name. 200 pag nagpapalinis. yung Starex ng dad ko every month nandun, ok naman yung usok.
