up ko lang, since walang built in aux fan ang crosswind,
hindi naman siya lumalagpas ng 1/2 mark. no need ba to
put an aux fan? or meron na rin sa inyo na naglagay for
extra cooling. tnx

yung power steering leak naman, inspect the ends of the rubber hose kung namamasa with a dark fluid. pwede din dun sa may dulo ng power steering gearbox mismo, pag laging parang basa or magrasa, sigurado may leak yun. you need to replace either the power steering hose or buy a repair kit for the power steering gearbox, or both to eliminate this problem.

More than enough na yung surface area nung radiator to cool the cooling water, kaya di mo na kelangan ng auxillary fan. wala pa kong nakitang naglagay ng aux fan sa crosswind. saka mukhang mahirap lagyan dahil malikot yung radiator natin on startup and engine shutdown.

buhayin ko ang itong post na to 3 years after the last post and after more than 100,000 views.
mukhang na solved na nila yung problema sa radiator (or nanahimik na lang yugn may mga problema sa radiator?)
in any case, wala nako masyado nabalitaang problem, I guess the just decided to solve this problem quietly either through the dealership replacements or thru the use of stronger radiators from Denso.
Last problem I had w/ my radiator was a leaking part of the cooling fin itself due to wear and tear and corossion. niremedyohan na lang nung suki kong radiator guy. Nagtanong ako ng brandnew radiator, 6 thou daw yung fit for the crosswind . Another thing to watch out for is the water pump itself. for those xwinds out there approaching or past the 100 thou KM mark, the shafting of the water pump will eventually wear out and you'd have no choice but to replace the water pump. Lucky for us, merong replacement na mura mura although kelangan diskartehan yung mounting ng radiator fan. In case meron magpapalit sa inyo, just tell the auto shop na yung water pump for the old isuzu hilander. fit na fit yun sa mounting bolts ng crosswind.

From my knowldge, the "overheating" problem of the Crosswind was already solved way back 2004. So if you have a unit 2005~newer, you can sleep soundly. (unless your room's window is beside the garage at kapag pinaandar yung Crosswind mo, parang may NKR kang katabi. hehehe!)

My friend mentioned about this overheating concern while i was looking for a crosswind.
Luckily when i got my XTO, the radiator had already been replaced.
Tanso na 2-layer, so sureball na na walang overheat basta alaga na lang.
I was told by a crosswind owner the original one daw is plastic lang daw and single layer. m not so sure though maybe that is the cause of it being brittle. Anyways with what i mentioned na alaga siguro it really needs checking everyday or everytime you go load fuel on gasoline stations. I dont mix coolants on it anymore since with my experience with my ex-lancer, coolants tend to be a double edged sword, with proper care it helps manage the temp of the vehicle but in case THE UNEXPECTED arises, like electrical issues with the Fan, or Radiator hose leaks and the driver wasnt able to notice it then the radiator dries out - the coolant deposits eats up the radiator coils/tubes (it acts something like rust). thus the start of the radiator issues.
Siguro only thing I can notice for now is the squeaking of the backseats, Door moldings in case malubak sa edsa. Are there any suggestions para mawala ung mga un?

Actually... coolant is there specifically to prevent rust. you get rust when the radiator dries out specifically because your coolant has evaporated.

2004 here, at 170,000 kilometers. On the second battery. Replaced the clutch twice. Replaced all the suspension bushings. Massage seat non-functional, VCD player has been eating CDs for the past 100,000 kilometers.
Still no pump problems, injector problems, water pump problems or anything. Replaced fan clutch, but that's it.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

* Sir niky,
Thanks for the clarif. That was what i was thinking before when i had the radiator replaced for my lancer since it says on the bottle it prevents rust and all. But I was told that what happens if it evaporates, does the chemical that comes with the coolant evaporates as well (slimy green color)? Then i thought it makes sense.
Additional pala. Ung right side sa likod medyo mas mababa, so this weekend i will have it checked na lang din. sabi nila sir Benz and XTO baka shocks needs replacement na since parang nasa dagat pag nakubak nakakahilo pero di naman matagtag though. siguro magdagdag na lang din ako ng leaf springs on both sides para mag mukang mataas ung likod.
