4JX1 - Isuzu Trooper troubles already resolved?

Hello mga sir, ask ko lang. Im buying a 2003 trooper. Mausok xa nung pagka start ko, as i read in here normal lang ba pagkastart kasi papainitin muna dapat makina. Smooth naman tunog ng engine niya, magkikita kami ulit to have it checked to my mechanic, pero ano kaya possible prob? O wala naman. Tnx

same with ours..mausok sya upon starting,,,tapos eventually nawawala...im planning to have the o-ring replaced as preventive maintenance....magkano ang selling ng binibili mo?

Well if it is Black smoke its normal mawawala nga talaga yun or ma-miminimize pag matagal na nka-start, huwag lang puti ang usok kasi langis na yun may sumasama na sa piston sa pag sunog ng diesel pag puti ang usok.

This 4jx1 is a lemon. Stay away from it. Forums all over the world are criticizing this engine.
Mahal yung injectors. Madali rin nasisira. Another problem is cracked engine head.

Isuzu dealer mismo nagsuggest. Better buy an alterra or crosswind

Anyone who can refer a good mechanic specializing in Isuzu 4jx-1 engine here in Paranaque or Alabang area?? replaced already our Isuzu Trooper 2003 injectors during the recall last 2008 broke again already. Please contact me 09178248221-Jude

hi guys, been offline for quite sometime.
my 2003 trooper with 4jx1 engine at 92k km started to stall. when i start it, bumabagsak ang rpm. sometime i need to maintain around 1k to 2k rpm for 3mins bago mag stabilize. pero sometimes namamatay pa rin. eto ba yung o-ring issue?

any idea what should be replaced and how much it cost? takot kasi ako tuloy ilabas sa subdivision baka itirik ako sa kalsada.

sir kumusta trooper mo IMHO oil rail pressure sensor and posibling problema ng ride mo...give us feedback para may reference tayo kung ano naging problema sa symptoms na sinabi mo thanks...

Pati narin ang isuzu philippines wla na silang stock.. inubos k0 na pag inquire mga auto supply ddt0 d pa rin aku mka hanap. Mer0n man sana sa surplus kaso (torque on demand) ang transfer case. And wh0le engine ang pag benta dto sa cebu.

Hi buhayin ko lang tong thread na to. Ask ko lang kmusta na mga nka 4jx1 user dito. Merin kasi binebenta isuzu trooper 4jx1 sa akin * 190k. I was googling about its pros and cons and i saw this tread. Was it solved the problem with crdi?

I used to own 2003 4jx1 but sunroof edition, sold it before it reached 5 years with me. If I were you, don't buy it, in the future you will encounter problems. Save yourself from a headache and get something else. But if you want a trooper, get any other version of the engine, basta wag lang 4jx1.

Ive read of the parts being fixed or replaced, but after a few years, sira na naman, better to just avoid it totally. there are better SUV out there.

Your best bet is in Manila bro. Di hamak na mas madaming surplus shops dito.

hi po... im having problems with mine too... ayaw tumakbo ng mabilis gang sa namatay engine pinagawa ko then umandar n ulit tapos ginamit ko namatay engine while im driving... sabi po ng mekaniko i need to replace the engine wiring harness and injector wiring harness kc ngdikt dikit n raw sila... pa help po how to fix mine... by the way po meron surplus sa may camiling tarlac nakausap kopo xa 4jx1 marami daw xa tignan nu po sa fb lagay nu sa search ung engine name lilitaw po sua dun... pa help na din po... slamat po sa sasagot... sayang po kc trooper ko naka set up... :'(
