Vacuum cleaners : bang for the buck brands?

Just opened it up. 6 spot-welded 18650 cells. Haven't tested which of the cells are defective. Board seems okay upon visual inspection but then it's really hard to tell kung buo nga.

Parang sayang din naman kung bibili ako ng spot welder for this one-time repair.
May mga shop kaya na nagre-replace ng 18650 batteries?

Battery pack ng Deerma VC25 after ko baklasin isa-isa ang anim na 18650 2200mAh na cells. Pahirapan ang pagbaklas. I'm now charging 2 cells at a time (yun lang kasi kasya sa charger ko) to determine which ones are failing. All cells have been drained to less than 0.5V.

Not even sure yet how I'll put back the batteries. Baka i-solder ko na lang kaysa spot weld.

Seems to me designed to be disposable itong Deerma otherwise they would have made the battery pack replaceable like some (perhaps all?) Dysons

0.5v? Sira na yan cells.. better to replace all.. use spot welder.. kung may kilala ka pa weld mo na lang..

Kung meron ka nung rc charger, pwede mo charge yan 1 at a time without removing the cells.. or use alligator clips

Can the old tin still be used kung i-spot weld?

Hindi na din.. sira na masyado eh.. may risk of shorting yan pag masugatan yung battery sa positive side..

Possible din na sira yung BMS ng battery dapat kasi nag balance charging yan.. buy ka nung imax b6 charger.. para pag na out of balance yung charge, pwede mo charge yung cell na out of spec without destroying the whole pack

My Xtar VC2 doesn't seem to be having trouble charging the overly discharged batteries. I could probably still keep these for portable fans. Maghapon nga lang nakaka 1 pair pa lang ako.

No issue kaya if i replace the INR 2200mAh batteries with NCR 3500mAh? Or will it depend on the board kung mapapakinabangan ang additional capacity?

Yup you can use naman higher capacity 18650..

Pero hindi talaga advisable mag recharge ng lithium batt pag over discharged...some chargers nga hindi gagana eh as protection... pwede kasi maging unstable yan at sumabog

I got some Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mAh batteries and a portable spot welder. I cut the damaged portions ng terminals and welded on some thin nickel strips. Umandar naman ang vacuum cleaner but the true test would be if it recharges.

Grabe hirap na pinagdaanan mo ah (unless hobby mo ito). Baka mabuti pa bumili ka na lang ng bagong unit ulit. Kakabili ko rin lang ng 6 pcs 18650 na 3200mAh, nasa 800 na rin.

I get a lot of satisfaction in DIYing stuff so I'm fine with all that effort and expense.

Ang laki na ng binaba ng presyo ng Deerma and I can guess why ganyan ang price drop. Kung same unit lang rin ang ipapalit ko wag na, hehe. I probably got a lemon pero medyo shoddy talaga ang workmanship kaya never na ako bibili ng brand na ito.

Gaano lang ba tumagal ang sa inyo? Itong amin kasi kakabili lang at madalang pa gamitin kaya do ko rin alam baka di rin tumagal battery nito. They could have at least made it na easily replaceable ang battery. But then again, baka ang purpose ng design is to make it hard to, ergo, disposable.
