Good day mga sirs,
Problema ko kasi sa pipip ko e is yung flooring. nabutasan na ung flooring nya due to prolonged exposure to moisture. lalu na yung katapat ng gulong. kaya tuloy napasok na tubig sa loob kapag naulan.. regarding sa body repair, wala nako problema dahil may mekaniko nako n nakontrata.
my problem is ganito- ung flooring ko kasi is made up of three layers. 1st yung layer na transparent thick plastic na naitahi sa 2nd layer na fabric type ung material. sorry i dunno the name of those materials exactly. then 3rd layer ung bottom part is foam.same siguro sa mga ginagamit sa kama. i want to replace the foam (3rd layer) kasi parang tinatrap nya ung moisture. pinamamahayan na nga ng black ants at kung minsan may ipis pa! ewwww. magpapatulong po sana ako sa mga eksperto dito kung anong klaseng material ang magandang gamitin. that is, yung tipong hindi mattatrap ung moisture if ever pumasok sa loob ang tubig. basically, ung tipong water- at heat-proof na material sana. magkano kaya ang aabutin sa materyal na iyon? kindly advice tsikoteers. salamat ng madami.

November 11th, 2009 05:33 PM #2i have the same dilemma. sa akin kasi nalubog sa baha so nalusaw at nasira na yung foam sa ilalim ng carpet. what i plan for the area sa may firewall is the aluminum/foam sheet (1/2 inch) na ginagamit sa kisame para heat shield tapos siguro may thin layer of rubber matting for sound insulation. yung sa floor area naman, baka plain rubber matting lang or same as sa firewall pero thinner aluminum/foam sheet. hopefully ok naman hehe

miked,
try using the foam matting similar to the material they use at jollibee or the matting for the kids' playroom that you can purchase at sm mall. the material is the same material they use to make tsinelas. it has alomost the same thickness as the original foam insulation, does not house the ants, cockroaches and moisture. just contour to the floor of the car.

Salamat ng napakarami sa inyong mga replies boss coiter and jick. initially, what i had in mind was the aluminum/foam pero since may good feedback naman sa rubber material, i think i'll make it a combination. cguro my budget will dictate what material to use. nagulat nga ako one time while driving, mabuti magisa lang ako. kasi bigla ba naman may gumagapang na ipis sa legs ko. i'm sure matatawa yung pasahero ko kaso wala ako kasama. hehehehe.. imaginine nyo na lang kung pano yung reaction ko. salamat uli mga boss.

You can try asking from carpet and rug stores if they sell the foam underlining. If they do, measure the area required to replace in your car.
If the area is just small, I guess those foam tiles sold at DIY stores will do.
