June 19th, 2004 08:41 PM #1A lot of shops are offering leather seat covers for P1,800.00.
I know these are not real leather and there are a lot of high end leather seat covers out there.
pero for one who's on a tight budget OK ba ito?
feedbacks please...
thnx

So far ok naman yun sa SIR ko but im preparing to have my seat upholstered with genuine leathers like with my Pajero.
Dont expect the leatherette seat covers to last tho.

June 23rd, 2004 04:33 AM #4There are nice leatherette seat covers but cheap ones are really terrible.
Bought leatherette for my Opel Astra before for about 3000 pesos and they feel very hot & sticky after awhile.
I think good cloth upholstery is still best but of course, genuine leather is also very comfortable.

Ako I'd still choose leatherete covers over cloth ones because mas madali itong linisin. Punas lang ayos na. I don't have any probs naman with the heat....hehe siguro malakas lang aircon ko (yabang). As for the covers being sticky, kailangan lang ay may proper maintenance. Better buy leatherete cleaners at your suking car shops.
...but of course leather is still the best...kasi wala ako pera eh..
..cheap ako..hehe

pareho kami ni kuya djerms. i use leatheretts too. for someone who's tired of changing cloth seat covers every month dahil kumakain sa loob ng oto ang anak ko, i find it very convenient dahil ang daling linisin.
regarding sa issue na mainit, i think, even leather seat covers too are hot, kung ibibilad mo ito ng direkta sa araw. for my case, after around 10 minutes of driving after parking under the sun, with windows open and aircon on 3/4 mode, malamig na sya..

I used just leatherette on my car for three years now. Durability is fine as long as you take care of it, by constantly spraying Leather cleaner i.e. Armorall or other leather spray.
Did some independent research and decided to go with the white pearl crystal.... para maiba naman. ...
