License Plates - How long average wait time?

It's exactly 1 month yesterday since my van got released. Agent called me yesterday saying the CSR has just arrived and my requested ending number 8 isn't yet available. Says we wait until the first week of september. I can either get a 9 or 0 ending and my P200 will be refunded (i paid 750) or i can get 1 or 2 and add P900.

Parang mahal siya sa P900 or P750, ako nagbayad lang kami nang P500 para sa special number namin na "8". Tsaka sa customer assistance nang Hyundai QA nagpatulong sa license plate namin.

May bayad na ba talaga ang pagpili ng ending plate number ngayon? Baka naman "charitable" funds nanaman yan? Ang alam ko special license plates ang may bayad eh.

our sa said sought after daw kasi yung "8" kaya matagal or you have to shell out to get it

Di lang ako sure diyan sa sought after number kung may bayad talaga. In my case I also requested an ending plate pero wala naman bayad.

im not sure if this is a propaganda of SAs but I asked an office mate and he was charged a higher cost for his "8" ending plate request

the additional 900 i think is for the "free months" of registration coz if I get a 1 or 2 ending plate, means january or feb 2012 will be my starting registration years. So, if today is aug 17, ill get a 4 free months diba?

4 months bago nakuha plate number ko. Pero hanggang ngayon wala pa rin sticker ko. Nov 2010 nareleased unit ko from casa.

The way I understood it, LTO will still give you the current year's sticker. There's no "free" from the gov't. Laging tayo ang lugi dapat.

Finally, I got my plate today(ending 5), after 2 months.

I asked my SA yesterday if the plate is already available and says no. But when I checked at the casa today, they said, it's been there for almost 2 weeks.
