so is the AWD, in a sense, "automatic" 4WD? in that a vehicle that is AWD is mostly 2WD yet automatically switches to 4WD when the situation calls for it?

in other words, the 4wd system of the hyundai is same as the xtrail, u have 2wd, auto4wd and fulltime 4wd. which is good but the sorrento has 4wd low range which you need for severe offroad situations.
