Hmmm, 23 km/liter? I like those figures, and I really try to keep a cruising speed of 80 kph on the provincial highways, which I traverse everyday. The Matrix is looking better by the minute

I believe it... kung yung 2.0 na Euro na turbodiesel ng Ford kaya ang lampas 20 km/l, kaya naman siguro ng 1.5 na Hyundai.

*sigh* kung mayroon lang Focus na diesel...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

hey bro! I'm also considering Matrix for our 2nd car. I'm glad i saw this thread. Your first hand opinion is very much appreciated. Just wonderin why you did not consider getting a 15" when you replaced the stock? Tingin ko kasi medyo mababa yun matrix. I think it deserves a wider/bigger foot print. Musta pala plastic quality sa loob?

    btw, i'm from La Union

I was still living in Marikina when I bought our Matrix and I used to go through the Tumana short-cut everday. The road sucks and our 1.6 Altis with 1.8 tires/rims (195-65-15's) seemed to take more punishment compared to its former tires/rims (185-70-14's). I decided not to change the rims and just to increase the tires' size a little bit.

Plastic material used was similar to the "gray" plastics found inside the Vios and Altis. I just wish that Hyundai had chosen black instead of light gray.

Yong 'insan ko, bumila last year ng bagong gas variant. 10 Km/L as of now.

Good inputs, nakakatakot lang huhu.
