Because European diesel costs an arm and a leg.
One reason for the high price of the newer Hyundais is because their system really is advanced compared to the common CRDi turbos here... the VGT system is state-of-the-art, and is much nicer to drive than comparable CRDi engines from other manufacturers.

By the bye, there's already an entry level Accent... if you fancy paying 680k for a car with pawis windows, not bad.
I'm seriously thinking about it. Thinking only, I'm not going to be able to buy another vehicle for a year or so...

Oo sobrang mahal nang Accent CRDI Base version(680K?mag Aveo sedan nalang ako!!!!).The Elantra won't come here...

Dapat nga pasok ng Hyundai ang Elantra kasi ang may New models lang sa compact car segment e Honda & Ford lang... Kung mauunahan nya ang Toyota sigurado may makukuhang market share yan... Kasi based on the launch of the fugly Corolla before the Asean Corolla, mga 1 year din ang inabot bago nilabas ang Asean Altis....
