Dami din palang ganito ang dilemma...
Same situation din ako and I opted to pay it on my own. My In laws gave us a new house which we stayed for 3yrs, the thing is I always felt uneasy living in the house whenever my in-laws where there, parang akin nga ang bahay pero deep inside its not mine, thus when opportunity came and I was able to save enough for a new house, I never hesitated to build my own house.

Same situation here. Actually from what I see, you are already leaning towards the Elantra. As said kahit tucson pa ang mabili mo, I think you would not dare use it on a flooded street... Follow nalang your instincts para alang sisihan.

Iba din kasi yung sariling sikap, you can really tell anybody even in front of your parents that this car is your own...

Sana by that time may 4x2 diesel na yung sportage.

*bratski I feel your pain lol. Dagdag narin yun sa motivation to buy my own car.

Hahaha. Lakas pa mangantyaw.
    * trig,
Back to topic lest i get carried away hehehe, since diesel suv ka na why not take a look at the santa fe? Mas matipid ito sa tucson dahil 4x2 lamg siya, plus it has a higher ground clearance than the tucson 170 vs 200mm (if i remember it correctly), its also roomier and can seat 7 if you're having a family. Eto kukunin ko next year, antay lang muna ako nung 2013 model kung magustuhan ko, if not available pa naman siguro itong current model. Albeit with discounts na kasi nandyan na yung all new model.

iba naman yung in laws and parents.. Pero based sa route nila, wala namang baha dun and never sila lumusong sa baha.

I agree iba pa din yun sariling sikap... :-)

The car can wait.

Safe yun, actually, I think it's much safer than the tucson when it comes to flooding. Diba waterproof mga ECU niyan. :hysterical: Nung Ondoy nga, I rarely see Eve's/Rangers sa Ford CASAs eh. Kasi usually sakanila, tuning, linis etc etc lang.

    Matagtag nga lang ang eve.

    EDIT:
    Goodbye Elantra na pala ...

Chevrolet Cruze ! :hysterical: Kidding aside, magkano ba yung Tucson R-eVGT?

    Anong ibig sabihin neto? Haha

Last night from Sta.

Makaka tipid ka in the long run pag diesel, initially mas mataas purchase cost mo but mababawi mo rin pag high mileage ka. And another thing.... Sino ba bibili? Ikaw o parents mo? Kung parents mo by all means tucson ka na.
I average 7 to 10.5km/L sa city.

Yes. "Mas mahal" is the correct term.
