    100K give or take 10K in a span of 2 years mga connected sa ondoy ang sira (wala yun turbo problem). Mura padin vs a new/2nd hand ride. Pati ito yun kotse na kaya kami na pa believe sa hyundai sobrang tipid na sobrang tulin. Yun sa ondoy after getting the water out of the engine one click start ito.

    Can't find the link. I know it's between 30-50k... might be closer to 50k now... but if you can get a brand new Hyundai turbo for 50k, hell... go for it.

    But have your car diagnosed first... rattling might be a loose connection or hose... usually a blown turbo is a screeching thing...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    sir dito sa caloocan 4th ave may mga turbo specialist. maganda if napa check nyo din libre diagnose naman sila...

    kaya yan DIY. ang mga bearings nyan di naman press-fit, puro bushings saka thrust bearing lang yan di mo need special tools. torque wrench w/ deep socket saka bench vise lang need mo. kelangan mo lang tandaan ano orientation ng mga bushings since pag baligtad ang orientation tirik agad yan.

    as for balancing, balanced na ang turbine and comporessor nyan nung inassemble sa factory so no need for balancing, panloloko lang yang need ang balancing palibhasa di mo naman nakikita na binabalance nila so icha-charge ka for balancing kahit di ginawa at di naman needed. basta walang tama yung turbine di na need ng balancing. at pag may tama na yan pati na yung turbine shaft palit na yan di mareremedyuhan ng balancing yan.

    Yes agree, balance na nga rotor assy galing sa maker pero kung gamit na yan for safety dapat pa rin ma check. Are sure na hindi na pwede ibalance. example: for some reason may maliit na tapyas ang tip ng isang turbine blade?

    CASA wont allow owner brought parts. Turbo cost around 77+ sa casa. Wala pa vat. :P

    I'll try to check for loose connections muna sa piping.

    Nakahanap na ako. alam nyo yun sa blumentrit?

    OK na. I've been using it for 2 weeks. Got the turbo repaired. spent 28K. Sumabog yun impeller ko. Parang mas noticeable yun turbo lag now vs before parang turbo kicks in at a higher rpm. OK lang. mas matipid kung ganun. Thanks!

    Alin sir ang damage yung compressor or turbine side. Care to post a picture? Di pa kasi ako nakakita ng sumabog na impeller pero ang damage sa turbine blade & nozzle ring eh marami na. Kadalasan basag na exhaust valve ang culprit.

    wala sa akin yun parts sir sorry. naiwan sa shop. I have no idea na din kung which side is which hindi na ako ganun ka technical. Alam ko kung saan side yun exhaust and intake, pero kung yun compressor and turbine pareho lang meaning sa akin nun eh. Pati baklas na ng nakita ko. Pati i don't know na impeller name nun. Nalaman ko lang sa mechanic and after goggling it. Well if it helps, ubos yun fins ng impeller and before i took it in may rattling sound yun turbo.

    Sorry ha. I'm as uninformed as christopher lao.

    Thanks sir for the reply.

    Yung parang elise na binubugahan ng exhaust gas (exhaust side) yon po ang turbine.
    Sa kabila naman ang compressor na bumubuga ng hangin papunta sa inter-cooler > intake manifold.
