Kung engine parts ang problem baka humanap sila nang ibang company na magsusupply sa kanila. but the price will be higher.

Riot Police Break Up Strike at Hyundai Supplier .

    By KYONG-AE CHOI
YANGYANG, South Korea—Hyundai Motor Group said it expects to be able to resume output at two closed engine lines after a strike at a parts supplier was broken up by riot police Tuesday.

Hyundai and affiliate Kia Motors Corp. obtain around 70% of their piston rings—a key engine part—from local supplier Yoosung Enterprise Co., which last week shut its two factories amid a dispute with its labor union.

A spokeswoman at Yoosung confirmed that production will resume soon though she didn't give more specifics.

The suspended production lines at the auto maker's Ulsan plant in the country's southeast make diesel engines for Hyundai's Porter truck and Starex SUV, as well as the Santa Fe and Tucson ix SUVs, a company spokesman said. Other engine-production lines, including those making gasoline engines, may be affected if parts run out, a Hyundai spokesman said.

Analysts note that the companies have around two months' worth of vehicles on hand, so the overall impact on their business is likely to be limited.

Other Korean auto makers, such as GM Korea Co., Renault Samsung Motors Corp. and Ssangyong Motor Co., also rely on engine components from Yoosung. Ssangyong said Monday it has enough inventory to keep production going through July.
