Years ago in Manila, a black Accent being driven by a woman was crushed between 2 trucks. Amazingly, the passenger shell was not crushed & the occupants escaped with minor injuries. I actually saw that car dumped on the sidewalk a few nights later. It was a mess. A testament to the safety of their cars.

I cringe on seeing accent accidents. but not on elantras. Hope Volvos zero death 2020 cars will catch on to other manufacturers.

yes, you are correct, malayo talaga

for comparison,

phil market has 3008 GT line at 2.6M while malaysia has 3008 Allure at 2M

HARI has FWD santa fe and omitted some features at 2.3M. while estimated price in malaysia starts at almost the same price but with AWD and the features along with it.

in my simple mind they stripped the features but not the price. so how can they sell a more attractive sta.fe in terms of a more accessible entry price?

Sales na lang ang labanan. i know suv's are the cash cows eh from the 1 gen. sta.fe wala sa kalingkingan ang sales. maski sabihin pa nila na euro ang katapat nila e wala naman sa 2.3m pesos plus ang bulk ng sales ng suv nasa mid range variant.

nag-discount na ng todo-todo ang cx-5 plus their yojin 3 o baka maging 5 years pa.
nag-discount na din ang crv. pinaka madami to sa nakikita ko sa kalye.
may bagong forester na. loaded sa features at lower price pa.
padating na din ang machong-macho na all new RAV 4. although i expect it na pricier parin.

ano balak ng HARI sa Santa FE nila? nag-discount na din ba?
magkakanda gasgas lang sa kakapunas ng alikabok sa loob ng mga casa.
at worse, yung ibang nasa labas, inuulan at nabibilad sa araw.

Priced now at 2.548M for high variant though 80k - 100k discount for cash and bank PO. Hirap mag decide baka in few months lang lumabas ang 2020 with upgraded features.
