As a suggestion para tumagal yung fuel filter always fill up again pag 1/4 nalang yung diesel. oil is lighter than water kaya usually kung nahaluan ng tubig yung diesel nasa ilalim sya lagi. iwas na rin sa iba pang impurities ng diesel na usually sa ilalim din ng tank naiipon. it is also good to have ur tank cleaned kapag may tubig nang nasipsip yung fuel filter kasi may naipon nang tubig sa fuel tank nyan. Another good suggestion is to fuel up sa mga lugar na hindi prone sa flooding. flood prone areas kasi nakakalusot pababa papuntang tanke ng gas station ang tubig due to osmosis.
Thanks! I'll suggest to him to have the tank cleaned out and to stay within 1/4 tank of gas. I do this myself, too, coz of the feedback that new diesels are more sensitive to bad fuel.

I'm supposing the provincial station he goes to is the likely culprit.

i've been using unioil for some months now both on my GS and my sorento. i get a little better mileage and less engine noise at start-up. dun ako sa mindanao avenue nagpapakarga. yun lang nga pag wala ako si misis tinatamad umikot dun kaya sa caltex siya.

least mileage is with shell fuel save, mas mura nga pero kulang sa hatak. mas mura per liter pero mababa naman mileage. para sa jeepneys lang siya.

Kung may malapit lang sanang Unioil sa usual routes ko, nasubukan ko na...

I actually like the response of the Caltex diesel on the GS. Petron diesel max naman I get to feel the response pag medyo konti na lang yung laman ng tangke ko. Heheheh!

There's been a discussion on this board about HARI vs Gray market units. Please search for it na lang. In a nutshell, value for money has it with the gray market units.

In terms of tumitirik, it's not that common a problem. It might not be a one off problem, but it's not as prevalent as that in Fortuners/Innovas in the past. It might have to do with the certain fuel/diesel quality in the tank more than the Hyundai diesel technology. One thing to note, however, is the type of diesel being required by the newer units. AFAIK, gray market units are Euro5 compliant requiring high quality diesel, unlike the earlier Euro4 units where the regular diesel from the likes of the Big 3 will do.

Anyone here, using Total Diesel?....How's it?

May magtatayo kasing gasolinahan ng Total malapit sa amin, and I am planning to fill-up here, instead of Shell Diesel.....

Better to replace it every 20KMs.. Ako ginagawa ko yun sa SF ko at Carnival ko before..
