I don't think it's a reset. Wouldn't that be illegal? I would guess it's more of a disconnect until it's ready for release.

Ok if its disconnected or reset the bottom line is you car is not representing its true mileage...

Unless Sonata at Genesis Coupe ang binili mo kasi there's no way to disconnect the odometer

Hi! question po, how much usually ang chattel mortgage fee?
pag po ba cash purchase wala ng chattel mortgage fee? pang installment basis lang po ba yun?

If fully paid na ang car, refunded ba ang chattel mortgage?
pag-kaka-alam ko kasi yung chattel mortgage, fee yun pag installment para sa pagtransfer ng details ng OR and CR from bank/dealer sa owner ng car?

Chattel Mortgage is only applicable to loans. Basically its a government tax on MORTGAGED LOANS...

Cash buyers are not mortgaging their cars they own it so those tax don't apply...

Naalala ko tuloy yung kwento ng dad ko when he got his 1997 Toyota Corolla XL sa Toyota Balintawak North. Nireset ng dealer kasi minaneho from Bicutan (o Santa Rosa ba?) yung car papuntang dealer. Noong binenta namin last 2001, no problems. Ito pa analog odometer, what more kung digital? May nakukuhang ganto sa internet.

Aren't you reading ?

Digital odometers are harder to manipulate compared to the analog ones.

got my black mt na kagabi! sakto yung black, d takaw mata yung parking sensor at door handles.. kinis din.. sir andretti, halos magkasunod lang yung balck mt natin.. so far, impressed naman yung mga friends ko.. sulit daw.. looks much better than the rest of its class.. and cheap.. ganda nung speedo/tacho display.. tahimik din..

nga pala, 6km yung odometer reading ko paglabas sa kasa (abad santos).. excited masyado kaya pagdating ko dun, kinakabit pa lang yung central door lock.. kami lang nung friend ko yung tao sa lounge.. unlimited OJ naman.. hehe!

Yup I agree, actually for me its better having it lower

. The true bottom line here is, IMO no one is really sure if our odometers are representing the car's true mileage, unless nandoon ka sa production line... kaya nga may " what if "....

in case, di ako makapag decide kung black or bronze
