I'd say, bring a flashlight. Point the light to the entire paint surface of the car. Check for swirl marks and scratches (kung OC ka), then get a good peripheral view to check for dents, check the fluids, chipping in the interior, and lastly the steering (if the steering wheel's dead center when you drive it on a straight line).. You could also check if there's any vibration when you start to speed up (40 km/hr and up), but wouldn't be as necessary as the first ones in the list as you can come back and claim for them to have it fixed.
Btw, congrats.

Hi guys/gals. We are already sold to this new accent.
But one thing just concerns me. Some said that a small engine like the 1.4 does not deserve an automatic transmission as it may just be underpowered and may consume significantly more than with a manual.
Could this be applicable to the accent 1.4 AT? Would a manual be a better buy? (in terms of reliability & fuel efficiency)

April 26th, 2011 11:34 AM #1475Reliability? Probably no difference if you maintain the car well. (i.e. follow transmission fluid scheduled changes, etc)
FC? Probably in favor for the MT in city-only driving, while the AT may catch up if you do frequent highway runs.
I'd say there isn't really a problem with the 1.4AT as long as the gears are well matched to the capabilities of the engine.
Plus the minor and major (safety features) toys you get with the AT make the deal sweeter for 'just' 100k.Last edited by mda; April 26th, 2011 at 11:37 AM.
