I was now choosing between Petron XCS (95RON), Petron Blaze(100RON), Shell V-Power (95RON), Shell V-Power Nitro Racing (97RON), Total ProTec (95RON), and SeaOil Extreme97. I have had bad experience with Caltex before so I don't bother in using Silver or Gold. I have not tried UniOil's gas but I am interested in trying them. Blaze is quite good and so with the top Shell Nitro Racing. However, I am still sold on SeaOil's Extreme97 - better than other 95RON fuel, about the same as Blaze and Shell Nitro Racing, but at the price as most 91RON fuel (P50.10 per liter at SeaOil Sucat). My other option is Total ProTec.

I thought the 2013 Jazz is designed for unleaded gas.

I usually gas up at Caltex Connecticut EDSA Southbound. Is this gas station ok?

On the otherhand, I notice peculiar engine vibration when I filled up at Caltex Greenhills (the one adjacent to Virramall or Greenhills Shopping Center). Is this gas station bad? Is this prone to flooding?

    BTT:
I'm currently on Unioil's 91 octane gas. Will see kung maganda FC.

As what Chikselog said, unleaded na lahat ng gas ng most big stations. Unlike my old Nissan Exalta which is really indicated in the manual na kelangan 95RON yung fuel. Yung older entry-level unleaded 93RON was good enough, specially on low-rpm (below 2k) city driving modes but they usually don't have that extra kick sa highway (almost daily ako sa SLEX eh). But when stations started selling the 91RON, only had to experience two fills and stopped using them. I am now limited to 95RON or higher gas.

Experiment and observe the stations near you, then select the station and fuel which gives you the right amount of performance, decent FC, and reasonable price. You don't have to do a full tank each fill, half will do for testing purposes.

right now im on Caltex Gold, because of the 3% rebate, kung naghahanap ka ng "better mileage" to save money, whats a better mileage than a savings of P1.50 per liter?

although tempted akong subukan ang ibang gas especially yung Phoenix 98 and Seaoil 97, but since ka presyo sya ng Caltex Gold 95 tapos walang discount, I cant find a reason bat ako magsi-switch, unless it can equal the P1.50/liter savings i get from Caltex.

Sir, ano po bad experience nyo with Caltex fuels?

Please share nmn po, especially because, like I said in my starter post, I only use Caltex Silver with Techron on my Jazz (from the start).

    Will greatly appreciate your info.

    Thanks po!

PS: I'm no way connected with Caltex. I just want the best fuel for my car and, most importantly, to avoid bad and/or impure fuel.

*jupe - Regarding Caltex, sa old Exalta ko pa yun. Medyo di maganda takbo ng kotse ko, even with Gold. Maybe it's the stations I go to or my old Exalta's QG engine does not respond well to Caltex fuels. I used Petron XCS or Shell V-Power with my Exalta before. Now, di kasi pabor sa route ko yung Caltex stations so I don't bother filling up on them. If you think oks naman yung Caltex Techron fuels sa kotse mo, then stick with them.

*BratPAQ - gusto ko rin try yung Phoenix 98 though wala pa ako masyado narinig na first-hand reviews on that type of fuel. With SeaOil Extreme97, more than 2 pesos kasi difference (Sucat area stations comparison) nito against other 95RON fuel kaya sulit talaga.

SeaOil, may cashback kapag Citibank Rewards card ginamit mo. Akala ko nung una nagkamali yung gas boy, sabi ko card binayad ko kaya walang sukli. Yun pala cashback siya. Mga 40 petot din nakukuha every time magpakarga ako.
