    EG Hatch:

    EK Hatch:

The EG hatch was produced from 1992-1995, and was offered locally with only a 1.2 liter carbureted non-vtec engine. It was offered with "pawis" steering
Our family had one before, and all I can say that the local version was designed for economy, but the aftermarket offers the usual bolt-on upgrades or even engine swaps for those seeking more speed...

The EK hatch was produced from 1996-2000. It was not available locally but imported EK2's and EK3's which are converted from RHD to LHD came through cagayan, subic, and cebu ports. EK2's usually have 1.3L engines and EK3's have 1.5 L vtec engines. A limited and far more sportier version with the chassis EK9 is available with the powerful B16B dohc vtec engine (185 hp stock!), also known as the Civic Type R. There are a few of these units in the Philippines.

    Hope this helps

    Honda Civic EG.

Magpa-engine swap ka nalang. Or if you can find one with a B-series engine slapped on, much better. Basta make sure that it was not raced nor modified extensively.
