the measurement means that the car is lowered by inches. for 1.5 for neuspeed, 1.5" drop from stock height. its the measure between the top of the wheel to the fender.

hindi ganon kalaki yung drop niya. as said, 1.5 inch lang ibababa nung oto. kung ang trip ay bastos drop... two choices, coil over or putol springs. pero through experience, ang hirap drive ng bastos drop lalo na sa maraming humps. 1.5" to 1.75" drop is ok for everyday driving IMO.

Gusto ata slammed eh.
Tanabe DF210 springs = 2" drop. Drive through provincial roads at your own risk.

My car is dropped by 1.5" inches and I think it's enough. I really don't want it to be a low-rider since it's my everyday vehicle and knowing MM, roads are really not that paved.
If you have an extra vehicle to use then you might as well get 2" lowering-springs then change your rims to 17's - 18's for your ride. You will be experiencing though hardships passing through humps ... you'll be forming the figure 8 or 7 when passing through it.
Coilovers are adjustable but the thing is, they're more expensive and as what I have heard, they sort of give a bumpy ride.
BTW. My car rides on 15's.
