May 20th, 2010 10:49 PM #1Nag-ooverheat ung honda vti '96 ko at pinagawa ko na sa mekaniko. Nagpalit na ako ng cylinder head gasket, timing belt, valve cover gasket, etc. Napareface na rin ung cylinder head at 3x daw isinalang at malaki kinain sa torno. Ang kaso, hindi pa rin nawala overheating, lumakas pa consumption ng gasoline at hindi maganda combustion ng car. Ang ginawa ng mekaniko, nag double gasket kami dahil manipis na raw ung cylinder head. Pero ganun pa rin ung temperature. Ang gusto ngaun ng mekaniko is ireplace na ung cylinder head dahil manipis na nga at kahit ano gawin hindi raw ma-totono makina unless mareplace na talaga.
Any suggestion kung saan makakabili ng surplus na Cylinder Head ng Honda Civic Vti '96? Magkano kaya ang surplus? Magkano rin ung brand new para may comparison ako. Sana merong mabilihan ng mura lang. Malaki na rin kasi inabot sa gastos ko.

Did the mechanic check for other causes? Fans? Radiator? Thermostat? If the head is that far gone and you've experienced overheating that many times, I'd suggest you change the whole engine out.
