civic_93 first bawal text words dito sir
second normal yun, hindi sumasabay ang radiator fan pag nag start ka, Gagana lang ang radiator fan mo pag nag click na ang thermostat mo or uminit na ang radiator mo.

January 27th, 2010 02:40 PM #4Hello civic 93,
If you engine is cold, and you start the engine. The fans wont turn on.
There are only 2 ways the fans will start:
1) when the compressor of the aircon is on
2) you have reached 82 deg C in you coolant temperature:
so, either of the two conditions, will turn on your fan.
To test: Cold start your engine: then turn on your aircon. The fan should
turn on instantly;
2nd test: start your engine without the aircon. Let it rev at around 1500 rpm until the temperature will rise. When it reach a certain point (around 82 deg C) your fan will turn on.
I hope this will help.

*civic_93 let me explain to you 2 types of radiator fans. hindi kasi na-explain ng mga tsikoteers na nauna nagpost. pero tama ka, yung ibang kotse, pagkastart iikot na kaagad ang fan. My explanations below;
1. Fan Belt driven - Ito yung pagkastart ng engine, umiikot na kaagad ang Fan for the radiator because ang nagpapaikot nito ay Fan Belt. (kasabay ng mga other belts) My Mitsubishi Adventure is an example of this type.
2. Fan (electrically driven) with thermoswitch - Your ride is an example of this. (Mostly cars like my Suzuki Alto too) Umiikot lang ang fan when the temperature reached a certain point. Ngayon nagtataka ka siguro sir, gusto mo naka-on palagi ang radiator fan mo, pwede mo pong gawing "rekta" ang power nung fan mo para pagka-on ng engine, umiikot na kaagad ang fan.
My 2 cents worth.
