October 30th, 2009 08:50 PM #1nakita ko dun sa parang resibo ng kotse namin na ph16a yung makina nung civic namin. eto ba ang engine ng lahat ng honda civic VTI's around 96-00? medyo wala kasi ako alam sa kotse, nagaaral pa lang hehe.
and isa pa, ano pinagkaiba ng engine ng SIR dun sa ph16? malaki ba deprensya? honda civic vti na VTEC pala yung amin.

yan talaga engine code ng local na civic. locally manufactured yan kaya ata ph16a. d-series yun engine mo

November 3rd, 2009 03:19 PM #4meron pong SiR engines that were released to the Philippine market and the engine codes are(PZ***) correct me if i'm wrong. ang mga engines na ito are similar to the world renowned B16A engines that give out 170-189 hp stock. although the displacements are similar to the ph16a (engine of 1.6L VTEC/VTi), malayo po agwat nila in terms of power and hp.
SiR engines are DOHC, and ang PH16/D15B are SOHC
PH16A gives out 120-127hp
D15B gives out 130-132hp, in addition, mas fuel efficient ito.

January 14th, 2011 01:32 AM #5magandang gabi po! hingi lang sana tulong... i just recently bought a 96 honda vti for my 17 year old son. i have upgraded his ice system and was wondering if any of you guys have suggestions on boosting his ph16a engine... have thought about installing a rather sufficient (wink wink) turbo to his engine... when i return to pinas, i plan to upgrade his suspensions and halting power. salamat po
