mga boss help po pls tanong ko lang anu po ba yong ph15a vtec same ba siya sa d15b? help po bibili kasi me ng kotse this week sana may tmulung...

I think d15b's locally installed in CBU (completely built-up) Civics in the Laguna plant would have a ph15* (ewan...) engine code on paper.. and it was only in 2001 when Honda started offering such variant which we know as the VTI-S...

It's a d15b 3-stage installed as stock (not transplanted), hence the sticker that says VTEC3 sa rear windshield.

No CBU locally assembled Civic hatch (1992-1995 model) ever received a VTEC engine as stock. In fact, it was only offered in a carburated 1.2 engine as the DX model.

It is clearly an engine transplant.

Most d15b's used for swaps are JDM surplus, and if you install such, you would/should have "D15B" stated in your OR/CR as an engine change indication...One for one have this.

So does that ph15a vtec have a VTEC?
Check if there's a solenoid as that's one of the best way to see if there's vtec...

It's like seeing the transfer case to make believe if it's a real evo. haha...

d15b and ph16a has the same category only thing is that d15b is a jdm engine and ph's are philippine built engine or phdm.... isa pang pinagkaiba nila is that d15b doesnt have knock sensor while ph16a has a knock sensor, although di ako sure sa ph15a kung may knock sensor sya or may vtec solenoid... kc sa picture you showed di ko makita yung vtec solenoid....

i think sir walang vtec ang ph15. kasi sir sa LXi po nakalagay ang ph15 w/c is non vtec.
