February 14th, 2011 02:19 AM #7If 4 cyl to 4 cyl di gaano makikita ang diff ng FC pero if 6cyl vs 4cyl mas matipid ang 6 if pareho ang Gross Vehicle Weight, Gross axle weight at Driving habbits. also 6cyl vs 8cyl if same ang Gross Vehicle Weight at Gross axle weight. and if engine induction system equip with dual resonance, malaking factor yon sa driveability. a classic example is MBENZ 124 body with 2.3 ltr engine (102 4cyl ) consumed more fuel than 124 body with 2.6 ltr engine ( 103 6cyl ) if pareho ang driving pattern ng both drivers.

February 14th, 2011 09:19 PM #9Assuming that the bigger displacement engine has more power output than the smaller one then running them at the same rpm like say in the shop trial with out load (like at idle speed when the car is not moving) syempre ang consumo ng mas malaking makina ay mas mataas keysa sa maliit. Bigger displacement & power consume more fuel.
