    its advisable to keep the diameter of your tires close to the stock tire's diameter.

    Here are the stock tires of the Accord for comparison:
    205/65R15(25.5 in)
    205/60R16(25.7 in)

    Here are the diameters of the following 18 inch tires for comparison:
    225/40R18 (25.09 in) smaller than stock...
    225/45R18 (25.97 in)
    225/50R18 (26.86 in) diameter is over an inch more than both 15 inch and 16 inch stock Accord tires, too big.
    Interesting...i guess i just have to watch out for potholes thanks for the info...

    I guess you can check the width of your wheels...
    Also check the offset of your wheels, I'm not sure about the details for the Accord, but this can also be one of the reasons the tires/wheels of Mamar's 225mm wide tires make contact with other parts of the car.

    the diameter of my wheels is 8in. how do you find the offset? thanks!
