December 2nd, 2009 04:23 PM #1good day masters!
i just bought my first car its a 2nd hand 1998 civic lxi 1998 . since i dont have any background when it comes to automobile. what are the usual things that i need to check/replace. just got it today and im still learning how to drive it. some of my friends told me to have the oil changed, check the wheel alignment, etc... (these are all jargon to me)
any reputable honda shops near sm fairview that i can go to for us to check the status of my ride?
thanks in advance and more power!

December 3rd, 2009 11:44 AM #3i would suggest if malapit kau sa honda tandang sora, if mgpapachange oil po kau dun worth just only php875.00 it also includes 18points of inspection, mabigyan nila kau ng recomendation... puede nyo po hintayin.
re-wheel alignment nman po kung may nararamdaman po kau n pulling to left or pulling right, then there u need to check and perform wheel alignment, pra macheck ang toe in, toe out, camber setting etc...
look mr.abet bernardo svc manager po sya dun matutulungan po kau nyan...

change the timing belt... kung sa buy and sell galing yan i'm almost 90% sure the odometer will be clocked, especially when it reads below 50,000 kms.
the usual, change oils, kalampag... basta get anything fixed that doesnt seem "right" in the car. your comfort should be paramount, kaya kalimutan mo muna yung mga banawe accessories like fancy LED lights or super loud radio. aanhin mo mga arte na yun pag pirmi ka naman tumitirik sa daan, diba?
prepare some money, because you must focus on getting the car to run reliable. honda fairview will do a good job in reconditioning your car, but dont expect it to be cheap.
basic tune ups, oil changes, i go to petron fairview in front of the servitek. they have fairly decent techs there.
sadly, i know of no honda specialist shop (apart from honda fairview) in fairview, and i'm from fairview na. kaya for engine works i just go to honda fairview and pay a premium.
