as promised.....eto yung picture nung radiator ko. Dun sa may bilog, dun yung part na may very small leak ng water. Tingin ko iyon ang problem eh. May nagadvise pala dito sir, gamitin ko daw muna is coolant kasi maadli mag evaporate yung tubig. Should I do this first and observed before anything else? May kausap na kasi akong mechanic eh, bale kinakapatid ko yun so trusted naman.......pa advise na lang po mga sirs....
sabi ng boss ko baka daw pede palitan lang yung top cover kasi dun sa may top cover may leak, im guessing baka kaya toh ng gladiator sealant kasi maliit lang naman.

September 16th, 2009 11:47 AM #34sir kasi when it comes to radiators pag naluluma na nagkakaroon na yan ng mga bara/patay na tubo. tapus pag pinaoverhaul mu hindi naman mashado ngtatagal kaya baka lalo kayo mapamahal kasi medyo mahal din magpalit ng top cover and overhaul. hindi po kame nagpapalit ng top cover for radiator. assembly lang po ang benta namen. and hindi naman po sa gusto ko makabenta ng radiator suggestion ko lang yung mgpalit kayo ng rad assy. para isang gastusan nalang hindi na pabalikbalik ung problem niyo sir tnx.

no worries sir, tama naman kayo eh. Problem ko lang ngayon is maayos temporarily yung problem kasi budget wise medyo tight eh, 1st bday kasi ng anak ko this October. So, temporary soulition will do at a low cost. Pero I will definitely replace this once umulit ulit yung problem, by that time eh napagipunan ko na yung new set of radiator.
Naka sched ko na po pa check toh sa mechanic maybe nextweek, sana magawan pa siya ng paraan at a low cost.

mga sirs,
ayun po sa itaas yung picture kung saan lumalabas yung unting tubig.
Observation: pag hindi umiikot yung fan (both a/c and rad. fan), yung small amount of water eh lumalabas. Pero pag umiikot yung fan, nawawala yung water (parang natutuyo). So im sure leak ito sa top cover ng radiator.
Eto po yung condition ng 98 Honda City ko and me as well:
1. Seldom used, every Saturday and Sundays lang (also duriong holidays lang).
2. Newly replaced and Timing Belt, Tensioner, Water Pump and other gaskets.
3. Medyo tight budget ako ngayon kasi 1st bday ni baby this October...hehehe...
Bale eto yung nasa isip ko gawin:
1. Try the advise og sir archie123456789 to buy Gladiator Stee Epoxy at tapalan ko yung leak then observed ko kung anu mangayri.
COST: mag P150 daw.
2. Go to a radiator shop and check if the top cover can be repaired or not. Also, to check if may iba pang leak or problems.
COST: not known - any IDEa po???
3. Buy a new set of radiator.
COST: evercool daw is around 6k + 500 labor cguro.
My idea is step 1, then pag sablay go to step 2. then pag sablay pa rin, go for step 3 (pag may budget na).
Advise naman po mga sirs....im from malolos bulacan pala.

sir huwag niyo na tipirin lalo nat ganyan ang problema, mas malaki masisira po sa inyo.
bili nalang po kayo ng radiator, tama evercool na kunin mo, palit kana rin ng upper at lower radiator hose. at pinaka importante kunin mo yung 1.1 radiator cap. napansin ko 0.9 ang nakalagay diyan sa pic na pinost mo.di po tama yang 0.9. ang honda po ay 1.1 radiator cap yan po standard niyan at ang kunin mong tatak ng radiator cap is FEDERAL MOGUL.
good luck po sir at huwag ka magtitipid kung ganyan na nangyayari..
please post dito ulit sir kung anu na nangyari.

September 17th, 2009 08:33 PM #39Sir Master32 ganyang ganyan ang naging problema ko which is until now inoobserbahan ko pa after gawin ng mekaniko ko yung inaakala nilang nagiging problema.
Just a few kilometers lang ang natatakbo ko maghapon from house to office at office to kid's school for lunch then from office to house na ulit, ubos ang coolant ko maghapon lang yun.
Eto ang ginagawang test ng mekaniko ko para malaman kung head gasket nga ang problem. Pagdating ko sa talyer nila, from running around 10 mins. pina-off sa kin ang engine. Then slowly and carefully ni-remove yung rad cap, (syempre pinasingaw muna nya ang pressure.) Then right after opening, pina-start sa akin yung engine. And voila, bigla na lang bumulwak ng pagkalakas lakas yung tubig (with green coolant) at nagkalat sa buong engine compartment ko under the hood, even them ay natalsikan. Ayun, they've suspected na head gasket nga. And nung mapalitan na, just last week. Tumakbo ako nung sunday ng around 50klms. namasyal muna kami ng family. Ayun awa ni Lord, nung nagtsek ako after noon, before dumilim at nakapahinga na ung sasakyan, ayos naman, walang nabawas kahit konti. But still observing until now.
By the way, kasabay nga pala nun pag-aayos nila, tinanggal nila yung thermostat ko at mas maganda daw kasi ang wala na nun. Pero hindi rin ako kampante kaya pinalagay ko ulit but with a brand new one na.
