since nasa CRV gen 1 topic na rin tayo, matanong ko lang, may ATF dipstick ba ang matic na CRV. Nung nabili kasi namin yung CRV anmin 2nd hand at walang manual na kasama. mahigit 3 yrs na sa amin yung sasakyan, ngayon ko lang naisip mag check ng ATF eh

not famillar with A/T since I had an M/T pero 3 yrs na yan dapat every 40tkm palitan yung ATF

hehe. same question kung pano check yung ATF ng AT na gen 1 wala rin manual yung sa brother ko.

anyone here experienced a problem with the rear differential?

what should one check if buying a second-hand gen1?

meron ba mga recall ang Honda on the CRV?

pag di napalitan yung rear differential fluid for a long time meron lumalabas na grinding or sometimes squealing noise kapag nakafullturn yung oto. solution is just to replace the rear diff fluid with Honda ATF.

meron recall yung earlier Gen1 CR-Vs released here. yung ignition switch yata yun or yung front SRS madali daw masira yung contact points possible na di mastart yung oto or di magdeply yung airbag. Honda even sent a letter to CR-V owners back then regarding the said recall. dadalhin mo lang sa casa yun before papalitan na nila during the PMS.

yup parang may umuugong dun sa rear differential when the 4wd kicks in.

may idea ba kayo where i can get the supporting brackets for the propeller shaft? kasi when we bought our crv late ko na napansin na walang propeller shaft, though nakuha ko na ito. di ko mapakabit kasi kulang ng 2 supporting brackets. when we tried connecting the propeller shaft, gumana naman yung realtime 4wd niya although maingay. di ko macheck kung meron nung grinding sound on full turn kasi ayaw ibaba ng mechanic yung car sa lifter. di ko mapacheck kung fluid lang talga yung problem until i get the supporting brackets. TIA.

i'm planning to buy a 2000 cr-v paguwi ko. 2nd gen sana kaso may iba pa akong pinaglalaanang gastusin. tanong ko lang sana yung mga variant ng 2000 model ng cr-v para mas macheck ko ng maigi yung mabibili ko. di rin kasi ako masyado familiar sa mga suv. this will be my first suv kung sakali.

actually, undecided pa rin ako between 1stgen and 2ndgen...parang gusto ko i-stretch pa yung budget ko...haay, hirap ng kulang ang budget tsk..
