October 19th, 2010 02:55 PM #1good day to all, just change my PSH (accord 97), ang problema naman ngaun ung rack and pinion sa steering gear, may tagas na din, dnala ko sa shop dito sa 20th ave, nkita nila may leak, ung riper kit daw and need to be replaced. this morning dinala ko sa honda libis, ang pinapapalitan nila is power steering hoses, steering gear box and over hauling of steering pump costing to 70K. i need your comments, suggestions, reccomendations please help me. thanks

Sir yun sa gear box worth 59K or less ang OEM pero nagrerepair ang Honda nyan ang tawag dun Reman ata worth 15k. Pero mag-aantay ka ng 2weeks kasi dadalhin pa yan sa planta. Pero sa tingin ko KIT lang ang problem nyan ipagawa mo nalang sa mapagkakatiwalaang mekaniko. Yun sa steering hose mo naman +2k lang ang replacement at ang orig nyan is 10k. at yun steering pump over-hauling baka flushing lang ang ibig nila sabihin, over-hauling pa sila, para mahal pakinggan. Good luck nalang at balitaan mo kami.

2 weeks ago nagpa service ako sa honda SPA dahil tagas ang rack and pinion.
Pinalitan nila rack and pinion ko, trade in ko luma. Nagpa change oil din ako using fully synthetic oil and palit valve cover gasket. Total binayaran ko was 17,008 pesos. 3 days ginawa.
BTW this is a 2001 honda civic
Yung high pressure hose naman pinapa palitan sa akin kaso 11.9k ang hose. So hindi ko na pinagawa sa casa instead dinala ko yung sirang hose sa hydraulic hose shop, pinalitan ng hose and recrimp total gastos ko was 1,200 pesos then bumili nalang ako ng honda power steering fluid 550 pesos sa casa.

October 25th, 2010 11:13 PM #8thanks for all your advice, just want to let you know that after the service check up of honda pasig the leak was gone, im observing nga po kung may leak or magbabawas ng power steering fluid, fortunately hindi pa naman since pna check ko. i was charged for P504.00 for the service
