Honda Type 2 Coolant

good day,

ask ko lang sir if pwede ba yung mga 50/50 coolant ng other brand like Peak, Polar or Aisin on Honda?

my Honda city 2009 is already due on coolant replacement na din based on the manual. i think factory coolant pa sya since it is blue.

I asked nearest honda casa and they were selling type 2 coolant pero provided na sila magdrain and fill which is pwede ko naman gawin.

i heard pwede na daw bumili from honda qc tapos ikaw na mag drain and fill sa bahay niyo or wherever you want to do it.

Tagal na namin ginagawa bumili coolant sa honda casa ah...

Pati nga oil dun din namin binibili. Straightforward lang. Sabihin sa parts ano kailangan, kuhain nya sa bodega, bayaran konsa cashier, claim ko sa parta counter, sakay sa kotse.

Ako gamit ko prestone coolant lang for the longest time. Natuto na ako. Dati bili ako 2 liters ng premixed prestone coolant then pag kulang pa, tubig na lang. Ngayon I make sure pure coolant na lang nilalagay ko.

Why not just have the CASA change the coolant for a few hundred pesos extra? I assume they have better way to dispose the used coolant, do not throw used coolant in the drain, also toxic to pets if not mistaken.

i guess he justs wants to be sure that the right kind of cooling fluid will be used for his vehicle. honda casas are notorious for using the now obsolete type 1 coolant instead of the correct spec type 2 variety.

i actually do the same thing w/ my fd2.

so it's been 5yrs since i first REPLACED my coolant. yes the 1st replacement was at 10yrs. 2nd replacement at 15yrs

so lazada... P580 per liter. did some investigation to see if it's genuine. i still got the old dirty bottle from the casa to compare with

Ganito na ang packaging ng type-1 at type-2 sa casa.
Type-1: Long life coolant, all season pre-mixed coolant;
Type-2: Super long life coolant, all season anti-freeze coolant type-2.
So ung type-1, hindi anti-freeze?
Ung manufacturing date, sticker nakadikit sa takip.
Parehong bote may nakalagay: DO NOT ADD WATER TO THIS COOLANT.
