head Unit lots better than the Alphard. Good bass at regular volume, and there's an integrated subwoofer in the back. Basag pa rin bass if you turn it up to eleven , and it takes a lot of fiddling to get it tuned right, but it's a stock stereo... Can't expect that much. No touchscreen, but the control dials are big and easy to use. The Alphard has a touchscreen, but sound quality comes nowhere close to this. In this price range, though, the Explorer Limited still has a better sound system... but people won't be cross-shopping the two, anyway.

Biggest nits... Stupid wheel wells make side cladding so thick that the second row can't slide all the way back... the rear seat rests were designed by idiots. The recline pivot is in your spine (try sitting in the Ody and reclining the chair to lie down...), and the van is so low that you can scrape the exhaust over humps.

While it is a good van, and it certainly exudes a feeling of high quality in most respects, initial impressions still hold... Not as suited to local conditions as the Alphard. Very obviously a soccer-mom car. Owners in the front seat, kids in the back. Wide as a Hummer (the front parking sensors were going off non-stop in traffic )

Compare that to the Alphard. Narrower, but with more second row toys, more headroom and more luxuries.

If you're taking your family to the beach, the Ody would be great... fantastic cruise economy, somewhat softer and more composed ride, wide second row and fracking huge cargo bin. If you're the big boss sitting in the back... Alphard pa rin. Power reclining second row captain's chairs with moveable footrests for the win.

Was wondering about the power sliding door. Will the van move if the door is left open? Or do you have to wait for the door to close before you can move? Can you open the sliding door if the van is moving?

Sliding door will not open if the van is still moving. I think you can drive the van even if the doors are open.

Diesel is king in the Philippines. it's durable and long-lasting and efficient. Mitsubishi knows this kaya if we are to really analyze the market share, the Montero is the best selling SUV in just 3 years of its launch.

kunsabagay, kahit sa youtube nga wala foreigners na-nagreview ng MOntero coz dito lang naman sumikat yun. unlike the Hyundai and Kia CRDi's lakas ng demand sa Europe, kaya konti allotment dito sa'tin. pero the figures say it all. tatahi-tahimik ang Mitsubishi pero kita mo naman, what we see more in the road per kilometer of drving, kung hindi L300 FB, adventure, and montero.
afriak walang binebenta montero sport sa europe even fortuner wala din sa line up toyota europe kaya walang review doon.

If you can figure out a way to remove all taxes and then force Honda to sell vehicles at a huge loss on top of that, sure.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
