kaw, kung ok ba sayo. its just like having a bigger accord, un lang, plu ung lever, are the same with local CR-v. full-time 4wd avail, may 2.0, 2.2 gas engines, no m/t, at may rare na 3.0v6!6 or 7 seaters, 4wd much higher ground clearance and may models na may semi-bubble-top(kick-up) roof.

gen.1 ody lang ang woth below 500 thou, ung gen2, 500 up, dont even bother on the gen 3...

conversion should be checked, ha! a good conversion dapat nalipat ung a/t lever, ung mastr ng preno, alam ko di nalilipat un, depende.. kaya sa direct importer ka kumuha or sa cebu.

However, hinde lahat ng nagco-convert eh pulido gumawa. So, gaya ng sabi ni AY, you need to do your homework and serious legwork para makahanapn ng Odyssey na maayos ang pagkaka-convert. It would help na medyo nakakaintindi ka sa tsikot. Nga pala, I advise magsama ka ng mechanic.

Thing is, whatever we say dito sa thread mo, opinion lang namin to kapatid. In the end, nasa iyo pa rin ang decision. Don't let us influence your decision 100%. Take what we would say here as advice from well meaning Tsikoteers and take most as a grain of salt.

I'm pretty sure you're an intelligent person and that you'd arrive a solution that's best for you and your family.

    Good luck bro.

Not sure if it's a fair reply/comparison but I've owned an Odyssey GenI w/ 2.2L (not 4WD) before in the US. Bought it with 98K miles and sold it with 124K miles. Engine runs forever with proper maintenance (ganun na yata lahat ng engines ngayon). Comfortable seats is a huge plus on long drives. Magic 3rd row seats are also an advantage if you want to haul huge items. Too bad the 2nd row seats don't fold flat on the floor (pero pwede syang tanggalin, too heavy a chore for a girl though). I have a 7-yr old, a 2-yr old and a new-born at that time and even with the 3rd row seats up, kasya pa din and dalawang stroller sa trunk. Comparable and driving and handling nya with the Accord as they share the same platform (tipong bigger wagon version sya). Top speed ko was 120mph (around 192 km/h). My only gripe is the transmission kasi may jerk sya much like the pre-2001 Civics. Gas consumption is not very good pero di naman sya gas guzzler.

Let us know what you decide and please share your experience both sa Subic and with your ride pag bumili ka.

Engine and parts same as the accord.

I won't go into the "Don't buy RHD conversions!" tirade, baka magalit si alwayz_yummy... ...joke joke lang! But true, be sure that the conversion was properly done, check the papers carefully for the actual manufacturing date as many dealers claim cars by their import date... Imagine a "2006 Honda Oddysey" with the 1998 body?

I'd try to find one with a manual tranny (not sure if this is available), or, failing that, bring a mechanic and test-drive the car to check for problems with the auto transmission...

ang advantage nito, just like JDM-convert chariots(spacewagons) ay 4-door ito, once converted completely(like what autoplus did to his skyline), you can easily sell it as "orig.

just get sa 2.0/2.2 2wd pinakamadaling source-san ng parts. ung AWD, prob lies sa parts for rear axles, ung V6..hehe, mahirap engine nyan here..

Sayang... but I agree, FWD nalang if you're getting one... mas matipid pa sa gas ng kaunti.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

convert to manual ang mangyayari, using local accord or manual tranny for an accord... hehe, ewan lang ang H22a<--diba makina ng prelude to?

    kaya FWD maganda makuha
