    moneywhiz,

yup, it's stumped me as well. honestly, i wasn't even expecting to break 15 km/L on our economy run (we deliberately avoided EDSA, C5, Libis and other highways that would artifically boost our reading). but i was really absolutely stunned by the 0.77 liter that registered at the pump. but we stand by our findings of 8.72 km/L for the city driving we did and 55.71 km/L for the economy run that took us from QC to roxas blvd through city streets

Could you do it again in a more controlled environment? Just so we can't say it was a fluke... :D

hey just try this for fun in Gran Turismo 4.

Race a Honda Fit (Jazz) against a Toyota Vitz 1.5. Use auto tranny on both.

CVT does great wonders for the 1.3L engine :D

Galing. If this was done with the lowest aircon setting. How much more could you get if you totally turned the A/C off?

it is a simulated econo run.

but look at the real life cumulative city and highway gasoline consumption....

for the city driving... it is just at par with my 2.0L full-time 4wd SUV.
