There were recalls in 2006/2007 yata, and we had to bring our ride pronto back to the casa for "upgrade" as what HCP termed it. We learned later that they used the wrong fluid on the CVT and needed to drain and replace it with the proper one...

Latent damage on the CVT because of that? I can only speculate... I really liked that Jazz, but had to give it up because of this concern. A relative was interested but I told her that I am not recommending owning one...

Nung nasira ang cvt ng sa barkada ko, he spent 35k for the replacement of the cvt. Surplus route.

That was 4 years ago.

Ito rin problem ko last year, gen 1 jazz. May rattle, may konting slack minsan. Panay check ako ng cvt oil dagdag konti ganun pa din. Ito ngayon magpapalit ako ng cvt oil. Drain ko lahat at nilagyan ko muna ng cvt na other brand (planning to drive around muna para flush) pang last ko sana kasi ung honda cvt oil. Eh napansin ko kagad umayos ang andar nawala mga nkakabwist na rattle at kadyot na takbo lol
Pansin ko lang ang gusto ng cvt transmission ko kaya nagimprove is sobrahan konti sa dipstick level. All the time nandun sa saktong level ang oil ko mayproblema sa takbo naman nung nasobrahan eh gumanda until now.

Salamat sa sumagot... SO meaning basta maayos xa pag kinuha ko at inalagaan ko... magiging maayos.. at kung ma sira ay di ako gagastos ng 200k for CVT transmission .... ano bang oil dapat ikabit ?

Alagaan mo lang, pagnakalso ka sa bangketa wagpilit atras ka uli, sabay bwelo konti hehe or baguhin mo pagpark mo na lang. masusunog metal belt at pulley kasi. Nung masama takbo ng sa akin nghanap ako sa banaue at importer mismo price range nya that time 18 to 25k ang surplus plus labor ka ng 3.5 to 5k ang kabit

Honda cvt oil syempre ang maganda. Kaso ung sa akin upto now ung pangflushing ang nakakalagay pa din haha nung gumanda takbo nabukas2 ung plano ko na i jack uli auto hehe

Add ko lang, ang isa pang nakakasama ng shifting ng cvt ay pagmaysingaw or blocked ang mga vaccume hose, egr, ung nasababa google mo na lang nasa ilalim ng manifold. Singaw konti or barado nagloloko na shifting nya kala mo cvt ang sira na. Ung vacume hose na malaki sa ibabaw prone sa singaw un nakaka3 nako ginamit ko blue na silicon hose eh walang kwenta kaya mahaba ang baon ko hehe para pagluwag konti palit na. Matigas kasi ung fuel hose na kasya baka mabali ung plastic na kinakabitan. Eh no time pa ko para balik banaue.
