Kung 2014 honda city ito brand new dati, di ba required sa honda dealer/casa cvt change every 2 years or 40k kms, whichever comes first?

So kung trace nya service records with honda, either makita nung 2016 or 2017 yung mismong cvtf change or yung warning note na due for change sa next pms na diba?

If napalitan, cvtf replace due this 2020 kasi roughly 3 years na din?

But, ang tanong is kung napalitan nung 2016/2017.

And yung reset procedure, para sa first gen cvt ng city, model year up to 2008 per my recollection. After nun, bumalik muna sila sa 4at sa alala ko before pumasok 2nd gen cvt nila.

Pero if isa sa sinasabi niya is nag high rev even if coasting, sign ata na cvt chain/belt is slipping inside kaya bigla sisipa rpm.

CVTs are non-rebuildable. If it has indeed conked, you're likely looking at a new tranny.
Try some other dealership for 2nd opinion. Let's hope for the best.Honda Jazz/City CVT Reset Procedures

My city 2014VX model has 63000 km mileage at the moment. On its 43000 km its cvt fluid is replaced from honda casa . Im looking for a transmission specialist on cvt. has any one from this forum could recommend? Nagagamit pa naman yung city ko kaya lang sa city driving but im hesitant to use it on long drive and high speed

Bring it to FusionR. They cater mostly to Subaru vehicles but most newer Subaru’s have a CVT tranny.

Hope it's not the belt. Collateral damage will be irreversible.

I have a problem with my car unusual shifting pattern since i remove the battery. It behave unusual speciallybwhen down hill it revs at high rpm as it was engine breaking suspecting downshifting the transmission. Need help from u guys . Really appreciate for your support. Thanks

    1. Start the car and run it to operating temp (no other electricals must be used like aircon, radio, power windows, mirrors, lights). Keep the doors closed so that the dome light is not on.
    2. Shut down the engine
    3. Start engine again and turn on headlights, without operating any other electrical load (other than headlights).
    4. From P(ark), shift to N, D, S, L, S, D, N while waiting at least 2 seconds before shifting to the next position
    5. Repeat the N, D, S, L, S, D, N sequence for 3 times
    6. Turn-off headlights
    7. Shutdown engine
    8. Drive and investigate if the fuel consumption decreases.
    [/QUOTE]

    why don't you drive it using P, R, N, and D only?
why do you have to shut down the engine or turn the headlights on and off?

P - to park the car overnight.
    R - to go pa-atras.
N - engine running but you are going nowhere.
    D - for forward motion.

don't go to S or L. maguguluhan lang po kayo.

I missed this. i think this what you'll find mostly on YT lol. nissans and hondas cvts...

24months cvt fluid change is recommended for the low capacity transmission. coz of cvt slippage is the "fluid"

Thanks Egan, can you give me the location of fusion R. Is any one of you have done the ECU update on your honda. I read from top gear for jazz & city need to update the ecu that is related to cvt manufactured in 2014.
