    1. i would clean the radiator. i'll have the external cooling fins cleaned using soap and water and a hi pressure washer.. baka marumi lang.
    2. if it doesn't improve, i'll suspect blocked water passages in the radiator. this calls for radiator overhaul.
    3. i'd also check the auxiliary fans. are they rotating ok? they normally blow a lot of air thru the radiator.

I read this article , Driving Tips to Save Gas - Save Gas This Summer - Popular Mechanics

    One item suggested this

"Tactic No. 2: Avoid Slowly Crawling Up to Speed

Conventional wisdom says that jackrabbit starts consume more fuel. But it turns out that nursing your speed up to the limit too slowly also lowers mpg. How can that be? Cars get poorer fuel economy in lower gears, and accelerating too slowly prevents upshifting at an efficient rate. The best acceleration rate varies with the vehicle, gear ratios and weight. But in our testing we found that taking 15 seconds to accelerate to 50 mph used less fuel than taking 30 seconds to reach the same speed, because the car entered its top, fuel-saving gear sooner.

It made me think whether this applies also to standard shift vehicles or only to automatic transmission.

Alalay ako mag accelerate , as needed basis lang ang sudden acceleration for me. Nalito tuloy ako
kung mas nakakatipid ba ako sa driving habits ko o dapat ibahin ko.

    Your input are appreciated.

i believe that's correct and it makes sense. thats what im doing. have the car hataw para magshift kaagad ang A/T sa higher gear. malakas sa gas pag mabagal ang start mo. pagdating sa 60-80kph, maintain ko nalang. i think mas matipid ako sa ganito compare sa dahan -dahan. matik sa akin, dont know about manual.

someone mentioned in another thread that "fuel economy is 90% driver and 10% car". sir I suggest that you search the internet on driving techniques for fuel economy. you can start with this site 100+ Hypermiling / ecodriving tips & tactics for better mpg - EcoModder.com.

hi guys. newbie here. im planning to buy a honda city s m/t or a vios e early next year. mejo confuse kung alin sa dalawa ang bibilhin ko although 80% sure na ako na in terms of practicality and fc, mejo lamang ang vios. darkhorse ang city pero ang lakas kasi ng dating sakin ng habanero red na city. tanong ko lnag sa mga may ari ng city, mabigat ba ang piyesa nito. aside sa usual na change oil, alin ba ang unang pumapalya na piyesa ng city. your inputs will be a great help. thanks.
