i think the waiver form is really stupid (not that honda can do anything if i use it for public transpo anyway). The car is made to transport people and using it as a taxi will really serve its purpose, more than home use. Sa singapore may mga taxi sila na mercedes and you dont see mercedes complaining hehe. It's like buying a clock and telling me not to place it outside my store.

The civic being a taxi is no big deal actually, but for us pinoys that has fallen to the marketing strategy that honda phil. did e are kinda shocked in a way. And oh this fact.. or fiction came from a Honda officer locally. ;)
I don't get the suspension weakness idea... how's the Civic any different from the Corolla (soft shocks), the Lancer (notorious for "kalampag") or the Nissan Sentra (soft front shocks... oh... and CV Joints are a pain)? Granted, the front double wishbone is more complicated and likely a bit more expensive to replace if you break something, but it's not much different, otherwise.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

sino nagsabi bawal gawin taxi ang Honda? you paid for it, it's your car and you own it...anong pakialam ng Honda kung anong gusto ko gawin sa kotse ko.

they can just refuse you service and that's it! it's actually written sa warranty booklet.

tanong niyo yun mga nagsasabi meron daw documents na pinipirmahan na bawal gawin taxi pag bumili ka ng Honda, and more often than not hinde pa sila nakakabili ng brand new Honda puro second hand lang.

    i agree with you shadow...

alam mo naman mga pinoy comment ng comment di naman muna tinitingnan yung facts. wala namang contract or anything na bawal gamitin na taxi. just try to read the warranty booklet or borrow from someone if you don't have one.

the waiver form is clear enough reason not to make your Honda a taxi. if inclusive sa warranty years, who in his right mind will waive his warranty and register a Honda sa LTO as taxi? sigurado peso sign tingin kagad sayo ng LTO, napakahirap pa naman kumuha ng franchise ng taxi ngaun.

if out of warranty? who in his right mind will make his Honda a taxi? sa piyesa pa lang talo ka na, P700 to P1200 per day lang boundary. P1200 being altis or 1st gen vios na.
P700 being old corolla big bodies and in between corolla love life.

kaya lang naman may Hyundai accent taxi and Nissan Sentra LPG taxi is bec. the local manufacturer supports/recommends it.

and the Honda marketing as a prestigious car works, even if the facts/technicalities dont go along. it's like nescafe in a vendo machine vs. starbucks. pareho lang kape yan, pero sipping the latter feels more prestigious.

look at it, people would spend/hang-out in starbucks and spend coffee costing 130++. pero pag kanin at ulam namamahalan na tayo sa 130++.

lahat ng sedans regardless of make will have problems in suspension if we are talking about Philippine roads. the only reason why matunog ang Toyota is bec. napakamura ng replacement parts.

it also explains na kumbakit nagreklamo ang mga car parts dealer sa north expressway area. ever since daw nagawa ang NLEX, humina ang benta nila sa replacement parts pang-ilalim.

now I have a Honda CRV which is almost 10 years old and I had a 4x4 Mitsu strada na 7 years old. My mitsu wore out sa suspension first at malaki ang pagawain so i decided to sell. it's newer than my crv and it has less mileage than my crv.

pero itong crv ko, hanggang walang pa din pinapalitan na major sa suspension.

we also had a civic esi and a corolla gli, both encountered problems in suspension exactly after reaching 3 years of use. so to say that Honda has weaker suspension is unfounded.

If it's made into a cab, I clearly and honestly do not see anything wrong with it. If I have cash and wanted to buy a Honda to make it a taxi, Honda cannot impose the so-called "contract" or "waiver" that I cannot make them into a cab! Why? Because it's my car and I can do whatever I want to do with it, legally, like use it privately, for car rentals and yes, a cab. Most of all, it's my money.

I just think Honda's are over-rated here in the Philippines. There is absolutely NOTHING prestigious about a Honda, nothing. No offense to Honda Fanbois/fanatics. For the record, we have 3 Hondas at home.
