    This.

Assuming that you don't like what has been done to the car, why pay 400k+ for it knowing that has been extensively modified already & re-do every single thing over again ? When you can get a partly similar vehicle, for less than 250k and have an extra 200k to spare for everything you would want to put ?

try jacking up the SiR vs VTi/LXi and youll know the difference. its not all about the engine and looks.

SiR's have sportier suspension and disc brakes all around. You'll have to spend more to be at par with those specs, because the VTi and LXi are geared towards comfort and economy...

Why not consider EG hatch? since looks and mostly "ata" habol mo, its the closest siguro to the EK hatch.
cheaper, dami ka pa extra pang modify.
    my opinion lang naman :D

SiR cost 350k -370k bone stock.

ok ganto scenario: buy a civic LXi since engine swap naman. it would cost you 230k stock

    things to do:
    ph15 to b16a - 80k
tranny b16a - depende kung LSD or not. siguro around 15-20k
bigger brakes + rear disc: 15k
    mags kasi hindi na pwede 13's - 20k - 30k w/new tires
add those up = 145k plus 230k = around 370k - 390k and still your interior and VIN number are still LXi. isang tingin lang sa chassis code alam na kung SiR or VTi /LXi

think hard on that option. this is not to mention the time you would consume sa shops.

Not to mention the fact that a swapped car is worth absolutely nothing in terms of resale value.

It's simple. Want speed and porma without the hassle. Buy a stock SiR. The ones advertised for 400-500 are either pristine never-been-kissed cars with almost no miles on the odometer or modified-to-hell showcars. Just get a simple, bone-stock, average SiR. Refurbish the interior and exterior at your own pace.

No need to deal with crap wiring issues or engine mount problems, with expensive brake swaps (SiRs are a bit under-braked, but that can be fixed with Hawk or EBC pads) or time-consuming paper fixing at the LTO, you can simply buy it and drive.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

nakakadismaya lang po maghanap ng SiR na hindi inabuso ng previous owner. ang mahal ng asking price pero hindi naman tip-top condition ang sasakyan.. daming pang ipapaayos.. haaaaay

marami talaga boss na ganyan. it took me almost 4 months to get a second hand unit. ubos oras and patience talaga but if you get the right car at the right price, all is worth it.
