Is the CR-V Gen 1 (1998 - gas auto) a good trade for my Revo Gen 1 (1999 - gas auto), too?

Assuming both cars are properly maintained, the CRV is better vehicle than the Revo unless you want to carry more than 5 people. The CRV will drive better and has a more powerful engine.

I love our Revo. Works well. It's just that, I want to let it go because plate num ending has the same one as our Innova. So we rarely use it. I just fill it up and leave it for days.

I totally agree on this. No sense in comparing fuel consumption and other things since it will be used as a coding car.

I am looking to buy used 2012 Honda CRV. Around 40K mileage.

Current and previous cars ko Mitsu and Mazda kaya no experience on Honda cars yet.
Ok po ba tong particular Honda CRV 2012 model? May mga sakit ba or good quality car?
Any feedback on Handling, Performance , etc will be appreciated.

Just be aware that CR-Vs are usually gas guzzlers ... it's got 2.0 / 2.4 liter engine(s) ...
