June 1st, 2015 09:35 AM #678Hi Tsikoters
Need your assistance. My V wont move or budge after starting the engine even if my parking break is disengaged.
My garage parking is 15 degrees downhill and normally I just disengage my parking break then I am off. Today after 3 weeks of not using my V it just won't move as if there something stopping the wheels.
I already tried the following:
a. Press down the clutch to the floor change gear 1 and reverse still wont budge
b. Started engine on gear 2 and 3 still nothing
Here is what I suspect my break got stuck or sticking. I want to get it cleaned however the challenge is getting to nearest aunto mechanic and the car won't move. My question is do I let the break bleed then bring it to a nearest shop to get it cleaned? or Will it be possible for a home service mechanic to get the break cleaned or does it need to be hauled to a shop to get it fixed? Anyone who have done a DIY?
Any inputs are much appreciated. Can guys suggest a mechanic near MCI Imus, Cavite? TIA
Admin, I am not sure if it should be posted here but feel free to move it the right forum location.
PS. My V is MT 2nd Gen (2003) and 2WD variant.

Probably stuck parking break. Move it back and forth. Check tires if they have enough air.

June 1st, 2015 10:50 AM #680Hi Walter,
Tires are ok, Should I press more gas while on reverse and force it? The parking break lights are off when I disenage, is that possible the parking break is still stuck even it the warning lights for that are off?
planning to keep it for 15yrs just done 10,000 km already replaced the transfer case fluid w/...
