Thanks sir for replying. I'm trying to revive this thread because I'm looking at two potentials here sa province namin, both in stock form pa, first owners
. I'm taking note that it will be 2008 real soon so I have to consider if it's still worth it to get a 1999 or 2000 SiR.
I remember a Passion Orange version that was going for 450k non-negotiable back in 2003 with some mods like Greddy swaybar and tranny shifter. Got sold in less than a month after announcing it by word of mouth.

Check the condition of the car and listen to the engine.
The B16A is a strong engine, but if the previous owner has whanged on it a lot, it is possible to break it. Check the oil. Listen for rough running and test for hesitation and power. If it "feels" unhealthy, then I'd say no... unless you fancy asking for a discount and know someone who can overhaul it for cheap.

October 8th, 2007 01:07 PM #129ok naman po ung makina have it check sa mechaniko, wala naman kalampag kahit idaan sa lubak ng mabilis. ok na ba yun sa price na yun all stock except sa rims, dating nakalowering spring at 17 palit lng kasi di mabenta mataas ang presyo, so ngaun 15 at stock spring but the lowering spring is included?
one more question magkano kaya mabebenta ung sheepdog lowering spring? at would you recommend that i just lower the car than to sell the spring thanks.

370 isn't the lowest possible price, but if there's no kalampag or engine issues, it's okay.
It's up to you if you want to take the lowering springs. In my opinion, the stock SiR set-up is a good balance of stiffness and comfort... but that's me. I'm the kind of guy who'll spend $$$ on engine mods and sticky tires, but will leave the springs alone. Lowering the car leads to more problems down the road... so I guess you're lucky he returned it to stock and fixed the suspension. (which makes the price a good deal, actually)
Secondhand lowering springs... I dunno about the going rate. Maybe 8-10k... check what the brand-new price is and take about half off of that... or much more if the springs are old.
