When in doubt, just go back to stock. Saka na yung mga mods na kung ano ano pa.

And always think of the consequences of a certain mod. Yung iba naglalagay ng free flow intake at air filter, pero commuter car lang naman (not a for motorsport). So imbis na nagpapalit lang sila ng Php300.00 air filter every other oil change eh gagasta pa sila ng cleaning kit and mag uubos pa ng oras para maglinis eh hindi naman pangarera yung sasakyan whereas it just takes 10 seconds to drop in a fresh replacement air filter. And pag-benta mo ng car, prospective clients won't be so delighted to see that you threw away the stock intake (unless ibalik mo). Magastos din kasi bumili nun.

Some people get too trigger happy with lower profile tires without realizing that they need to adjust their driving habits to avoid wheel damage or naglalagay ng mga metal type brake pads then later complaining about it eating the rotors. hehe.

Basta ganun. Been there, done that. Kaya ok na ko sa stock and boring. hehehe.

Yon nga lang kalaban mo sa stock car ano sir Otep? boring, or nagsasawa na sa pagiging stock, without knowing na mas ok. hehe. yap, hindi naman pang karera talaga, i just want my car to have more life. hehe. ahm, mas ok po rin ba ang stock na filter kesa sa bibili pa ng air filter? ano po ba difference kung meron, and what is the pros and cons having that?

i agree with the comments...

i-budget muna ang funds for conditioning the car especially under the hood/underchassis parts/ airconditioning (malapit na summer! hehe( etc)

yung mods tsaka na yun kapag a1 condition na ulit ang auto...

yang civic ek, parang nokia 5110 na cellphone nun... sobra dami mods na pwede gawin (natawa ako dati pati yung logo na H sa trunk may mod na parang neon)

anyway, the ek ages well, kahit stock look poging pogi.lalo kapag alagang alaga

ayun sir, stick ka muna sa engine and overall improvement, safety first, ehe.. and maganda na yan pag narepaint.. repaint,tint,mags ok na ok na yan..

Basta lahat ng mods ay may consequences. Walang free lunch. =) Yung sasakyan ko may palakol at pala sa bubong. Great for off-road recovery and looks uber cool pero ang problema ko ngayon, hindi na ko makapasok sa ibang multi level parking.

Yung sa intake, sabi nga nila mas free flow, mas may power daw pero mas mahal naman yung filter and wala akong time maglinis pa nung reusable type especially if the cost of the cleaning kit is equivalent to three brand new replacement filters already. Saka pag napalaban ka sa baha, at least sa stock mas protected ang intake mo (nasa loob ng box na may drain at baffles, at kung ano-ano pang anti-water features) unlike sa racing filter na naka-expose.

I like cars clean. As in walang nakalagay sa loob. Floormats lang. Walang seat cover, walang seven dwarfs na stuff toy, walang naka-lambitin sa rear view mirror, etc. Feeling ko kasi sa brand new na kotse ako sumasakay everytime pag ganun (1995 model nga pala car ko). Yung lahat ng gamit at stuff ko may box/bag sa luggage area. Dun nakalagay lahat.

* Sir junerski, tama! haha. summer na. dami swimming. hahaha. anyways, siguro nga, ek na ata ang pinakamadaming mods na pwedeng gawan. ano? hehe. ayon, dami ko rin nakikita kasing mods na parang nagiging trying hard na, simplicity is the best. hehe.

* Sir silverwokx, I've decided na engine nga muna. haha... gusto ko kasi ibalik or mas lumakas ang makina nito, tipong kaya na makipag sabayan sa SIR, hehe. pangarap ko yon e. hehe...

* Sir Silverworkx, hopefully this month may progress na ang car ko, and I believe, kahit ilan taon na to, matanda lang ako ng 6 years, haha. e gaganda at gaganda pa rin to. kahit makina. anyways, gusto ko ipa detail makina ko, nagdodoubt lang ako sa engine wash, e may nagoofer dito ng waterless, san kaya mas maganda? mas mahal nga lang ang waterless.

Generally stock except for the fuctional mods. Naka-rubber matting sa loob kasi we use the vehicle on muddy terrain sa bukid and hindi tatagal ang carpet type na floor mats. Also went one size up sa goma (285/75R16) and the aforementioned shovel and ax on the roof. Yung mabang bakal na pula sa likod na binanggit ni miko ay yung hi-lift jack. May snorkel din pala siya.

Inside, naka Equinox na touch screen TV/DVD head unit with upgraded speakers (Tekline lang naman parang sa pampasadang jeepney :D ). Ayun lang. Otherwise, it's 1995 all over again. hehehe.
