March 17th, 2011 03:57 AM #83Answering Honda Jazz would not be a direct reply to your q. Pero, I think its the best choice among subcompact cars. (tama ba na subcompact are the ones smaller than civic, altis, lancer?). Its better to get a slightly expensive car than later on seeing that car and saying that you should have bought that. The jazz kasi in my opinion belong to a class of cars that age gracefully and hindi kailangan i dress-up (accord 2010, ford explorer, fortuner, camry, range rover, 96 BMWs, sonata). From a designers perspective, its because its parts and panels are symetrically matched and are originally theirs. Kahit luma na ang design sila yung mga kotse na you say "ganda pa din talaga ng jazz". The fiesta and the city need 17s to look good. It also looks innovative pero parang napagsasawaan. Minsan, you cant be too radical. Tignan mo in a few years. But again this is just looks. I don't care much for horsepower or features basta hindi lang ako ititirik sa daan.

agree with this, since pangmatagalan mo gagamitin. para sa akin kasi, para sa akin, ang mga subcompact/sedan ng ford (like focus, lynx), in 2 years time lang parang luma na or wala ng dating. pero syempre matitikas pa din ang mga trucks/SUV ng ford (lakas lang sa gas).

March 21st, 2011 01:26 PM #89Finally made up my mind, was torn 50-50 before, di pa rin nagging 100-0, siguro 80-20, and majority won… City 1.5E.. Why? These are different animals, and we cannot compare certain things so just putting my key points and my summary
Fiesta
+ NVH – Wala ako masabi, ganda talaga sound proofing
+ Driving Experience – Gaan ng manibela, Ganda ng tunog ng makina and tambutso, prang leon.. growl! J
+ Very good bucket seats – hapit sa side ng likod, parang me nagmamasahe sayo
+ Nice looking instrument panels: Too bad, majo nakatakip sa manibela
- Awkward controls, yung sa window, lights
- Build quality (compared lang sa City / Honda… pero ok din Fiesta over the Accent and the other Toyotas IMHO)
- Risk on quality and service
City
+ Comfortable controls: driver seat window controls, etc
+ Space (506li vs 281li), I know, Fiesta is a hatchback.. ;)
+ Resale value (just in case we needed to sell it)
+ Build quality
+ Less risk on reliability of the car and service (IMHO)
+ Mas type ni future Misis
- Amber light – pero tolerable
- Parang mas hirap ang makina kesa Fiesta.. observation ko lang
Summary: In my situation, where this will be my first car, I needed something reliable and would be somehow practical. I am giving up the fun and astig factor for proven reliability in build (or at least in service). Pero pangako ko, after 5 years, at bayad na ang City and if I can afford another car, I will definitely get a Fiesta.. kahit 2nd gen na! )
