I believe in OJ88, na walang connection yun piston ring (if within specs) sa overheating. An increase in temperature when the a/c is turned on, is a symptom that something is wrong with the cooling system or the engine is producing more heat due to wrong timing.

First thing to do is for you to check for possible leak, look at the radiator hoses, bypass hose, water pump (between alternator and front crank pulley). These hose might be torn when it was remove.

Second, have a look at your fan with engine running and a/c turn on, and observe them, they should be running fast and large volume of air is expected. In the eyes of an expert he can notice this difference.

If not leak is visible, Honda's radiator is small compared to toyota, mitsubishi, so any mistime will definitely show with a/c on, try checking the timing, using timing light, or recheck the timing marks on the crank pulley and cam sprocket.

Another potencial problem with honda is when you remove the thermostat valve, the by-pass tube should be plug, for around 15-20 percentr of hot water will recirculate back into the engine. Most of the mechanic will say that we don't need this thermostat valve. But this is an important part of the engine. But it could also be the cause of the overheating if it does malfunction or remove.

Radiator overhaul is my last option because in our place, those radiator shop charges about P800 - P1,000 for an overhaul/Cleaning of radiator.
